Superbowl picks

I was looking at the odds over at Bodog, and it occurred to me that it may not be a bad idea to bet on each team past the Patriots up-to the Steelers.


Green Bay Packers

Here's what I'm getting at....
Assuming that Green Bay makes it to the Superbowl and that the Patriots do not, then you have a decent shot at having a bet on one of the teams that will make it.

Worst case scenario, Green Bay and the Patriots make it to the SB, or Green Bay wins against whoever they are playing.

Best case scenario, neither Green Bay or Patriots make it to the Superbowl. Then, you have a guaranteed winner.

From what I know from my 3rd year of handicapping games. The best time to play futures is after the NFL draft.

The odds on the Packers were 8 to 1 and the Patriots 8 to 1. The best value before the season starts.

There's no value in it if you are convinced that GB and NE are headed to the Superbowl. Otherwise, its a relatively safe method for having a shot at having a ticket with at least one of the teams that will play.

Do you think that Dallas, Houston, Atlanta or Chicago will make it to the SB....or even the playoffs? Those are the teams ranked after Pittsburgh right now.
