Does TENN have a chance in ATL?
New capper here, was lucky enough to hit this parlay last week. This week I want to try and go for something similar. Was thinking:

    Bills +110
    Vikings +1
    Lions -7
    Seahawks +1
    Titans +220
    Bears -3.5

I know Atlanta's history at home, but Julio Jones should be out. C Johnson finally got it going, Hasselbeck playing well, they should motivated with the Schaub injury knowing the division is up for grabs now. Obviously wouldn't go all in on this play...but a bet of 20 to win 3k plus not bad...thoughts

I really don't think the Titans win here, or cover actually. Anything can happen BUT the Falcons are a very tough out at home and they will be geeked up to win after that narrow loss to the Saints. I don't see Hasselbeck having alot of options to throw to and while C Johnson is good he just racked up those #'s last week against a very pourous defense in Carolina.

solid points, I might just be seeing the juice. Tenn's d is underrated though and with Jones out they could key on White and hang around

I'm glad you posted this thread because I've been keeping my eye on this one and so far it just doesn't add up that Atlanta be the big favorite here.

If we look at stats only:

          Atlanta 5-4
          Tennessee 5-4

          Atlanta home %: .500
          Tennessee road %: .500

          Atlanta home points average: 26
          Tennessee road points average: 23

It almost looks like a pick or Atlanta -1.

The only a couple things bothering me....

Atlanta just lost at home to the Saints, so now they are under pressure to beat Tennessee or else they lose back to back home games. That's probably why the SB's got Atlanta at -6.

Also, Tennessee has only beat 1 strong team this season (the Ravens in week 2), while Atlanta did beat Detroit a couple weeks ago.

I think Tennessee could easily win the game. Hasselbeck and CJ were looking good last week. I'm just trying to figure out how to bet it now. I don't feel comfortable putting it in a parlay, so I will probably do it stand alone +220....we'll see.

Everything points towards the Ravens winning this week. They are 100% at home so far and score higher than the Bengals home or road. The Bengals just lost to Pittsburgh at home, so the last thing they need is a road game against an obviously stronger team.

I'm goin with the Browns this week and it will DEFINITELY be under 35. Neither team can score a damn thing all season long.

CJ ran on the worst run defense in the league: he's only broken 100 twice this season, and one of them did not include the Colts. Atlanta's loss to the Saints was a divisional game, and they tend to be tougher. And its not like ATL lost by blowout. It was due to an OT FG -- an embarrassing loss in which I'm sure the team is still feeling.

Look for ATL to come out swinging strong at home. Tenn +6 may be the right play, but I don't think Titans win it.

Atlanta kicked New Orleans ass all over the field last week out gaining them 481-363. Penalties and a questionable decision by their coach did them in.

No glaring injuries changing anyone's game plan here. Harry Douglas is more than capable of stretching the field, I am not the least bit concerned with the injury to JJ.

Line of scrimmage battles on paper on both sides of the ball go to Atlanta here. Now that Babineaux and Abraham are healthy they are really stout against the run. Remember these two couldn't stay on the field for the first 5 games with various injuries. I don't think CJ finds it as easy to run here as he did against a squad with their top 3 linebackers on IR as is the case with Carolina. Hasselback is going to have to beat them in my estimation.

Atlanta has shown some vulnerability in the passing game but they have faced an all pro lineup of QB's this season. Rodgers, Brees, Matt Stafford, Cutler and a healthy Vick will inflate numbers on avg YPC.

I think the difference is strength of schedule should be noted for these two teams it is quite polarized the more I look at it.

I am hesitant to lay the six but will certainly be looking to include the Falcon side in any 3 team 6 point shave I can find.

im locked in on TEN +6 since tuesday. take the points / sprinkle the moneyline. always remember most cappers on here are terrible and focus on stupid shit like "the books are trying to trick us................." home favs of -2 to -6.5 lose the money across the board year after year. im taking the non-conference road dog vs. the overated home team.

I like atlanta on paper but then you have to get in to the mental aspect. They lost a huge in conf game. Their D was questioned 2 times not just on the 4rth down but lets not forget about the onside kick with 4 mins to go with timeouts (basically saying to the D you cant stop them) Just have to wonder where ATL's D's heads are at after that heartbreaker and basically the coach shitting on them with his decisions.
For that reason I say under. can the coach for atl help but be conservative in this game? and we all know the titans will run the ball like crazy. (also atl's D with something to prove?)
but thats just my 2 cents

Been taking a long hard look at this match all week. If CJ cant run, then the pressure on Hasselbeck will be too high. He cant rely on the talent out there to make it happen. Been reading free picks and analysis of this match all week, and basically all of them have Atlanta straight up or Tennessee with the points.

I'm not going to bet this game.
