I don't understand this spread. Jahvid Best is out, the Lions are playing a rookie punter...Bears are at home playing a revenge game, Matt Stafford made a comment about how he thinks 50 degrees is cold and how he played in 50 degree weather in HIGH SCHOOL..... and the Bears are only favored by 3 points?

Who's everyone taking for this game? Bears ATS seems like the smart bet

They're both going to make the playoffs imo.....too tough to call for me. I would lean towards Chicago with Forte but Detroit will be fresh after their bye. If they contain Forte then Cutler & the Bears are in deep $hit with that pash rush. I don't like Chicago's secondary that much either but that field is so tore up that it slows down the other guys passing game.

why? They have no running game, they're one dimensional, and the Bears have been playing well 3 weeks in a row.

Sunday the weather will be rough, cold rain and 30 to 40 MPH winds predicted. Forte/Barber should get a lot of touches.

The Lions are the most overrated team in the league with the exception of the Eagles. They will miss the playoffs. Write it down. Bears -3. The Lions can't run the ball and can't stop the run. Ever since the Bears put their young safeties in for the old washed up ones and have done better protecting Cutler, the Bears are a superior team. Lions go 3-5 to finish the year and will miss the playoffs

Bears offensive line is playing 100% better than when the Lions first met the Bears, and the Lions as a team are playing much worse. Martz seems to finally be realizing that Forte getting 20+ touches = win, now hopefully angelo begins to realize that paying Forte is a good idea.

The bears might be neck and neck for a wild card with the Lions so they definitly cant afford to lose to them twice. I think the offense line keeps up the good work and the Bears cover at home easily.

Very tough call. Devin Hester looks to be out with a sprained ankle missing 3 days of practice in a row. Lions signed Chris Harris, the safety the Bears released, last week so they might have some edge on offense. They still can't cover Calvin Johnson.

Look for the Lions to have a chip on their shoulder after being cheated out of the first game of the year in Chicago last year on the "completing the catch" b.s. Schwartz is a furious fucker.

Lovie Smith told Mike Martz he has to use max-protection for Cutler on passing plays, so he had an extra one or two defenders each play last game. That is why Cutler made the comment about if they keep his feet clean.

Lions aren't still dwelling about that first game last year. If anything they have a chip on their soldier because they're cocky and they started 6-2 this season. Last season is a distant memory to them.

Yeah, that's a big edge to the Bears. Not only running the ball but also setting up short passes, screens to Forte, etc, plus Stafford is good but Cutler has more of a run. Stafford like to go over the top more, gonna be tough with that wind.

Oh, and I'll add plus, while Jason Hansen is certainly good, Robbie Gould is the best and knows how to kick at Soldier Field. Plus a rookie punter for Detroit, even if Hester is out (probably is), Knox is dangerous also.

I love the Bears today, on them big - 2 1/2. Windy day in Chicago. Cutler can zip that ball and Gould is golden, wind or not. My only concern is Bears secondary. Wind should take a little risk away of Johnson burning them deep with cover 2. Impressed with improving Bears O line and play of Defense. Cutler making good decisions and team on a upswing. I see the Bears putting big pressure on Stafford today, minus Best. Lions had two big plays last meeting and one of the guys (best) is out. No way Bears get 9 offsides today and Cutler won't be struggling all day with 3rd and long. Bears get revenge today and improve wild-card chances.
