OP is talking about the ridiculous rules of the NFL. The defender was pushed into Cutler, and after watching the replay, it was obvious he wasn't trying to maliciously hit him, but the flag was thrown, because the NFL is f'ing comedy.

That was a legitimate fumble. He definitely had possession and turned forward to stride up. Definitely considered a completed pass and clean strip for a fumble. It's calls like roughing and P.I. that turn the game. Either way it happens every game and it's embarrassing

My favorite call is the one when a d-linemen tries to bat down a pass and hits the qb's padded helmet following through, drawing 15 yards. Because that could cause a concussion.... they should start throwing flags on teammates for the congratulatory headslaps after TD's.
