Cards release Marcel Shipp
Moments after head coach Ken Whisenhunt referred to him as a consummate pro and one of the most respected teammates on the roster, Marcel Shipp was seen packing his bags and making a beeline out of training camp.
The Cardinals released the running back on Monday, who along with safety Adrian Wilson, had been with the team longer than any other players.
The move caught Shipp by surprise, according to his agent, Brad Blank, who added, “The Cardinals told Marcel they were releasing him now so he would have a better chance of catching on with another team.”
