I'm sure a lot of sports gamblers out there are wishing they had placed a mid-season wager on the St. Louis Cardinals to win the world series.
Do you posters think there is a team out there that may be struggling right now but has the talent to make a serious super bowl run on the road in the playoffs?
I am thinking this team will have to have a great defense particularly a great pass defense. Since they will have to knock off either Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers.
Here are some teams I think they have a "outside chance" of winning the super bowl but just haven't hit their stride.
San Diego Chargers
Houston Texans
New York Jets
San Francisco 49ers ( I know they have a good record, but they probably have very attractive odds to win super bowl)
Detroit Lions- Great passing game with a good pass rush. Could pose big problems for Packers and Patriots
