turns out the cardinal won 24-23 as 39 point underdogs in 2007 at usc. this was the john david booty era, so they were starting their descent to reality before carroll left for the seahawks, and you couldn't have gotten a moneyline on this less than probably -500,000, but still...nice example of when long odds go bad. i thought oklahoma losing as 30 point favorites was the first that had happened in much longer than 4 years.Comment
