San Diego + 2 against the Jets
How are the chargers laying 2 points only after watching such a disgusting play on monday night football by the Jets.... Honestly the Jets have no offense, I just cant imagine a san diego team would lose to the jets after a bye week. Im taking the ML for 5x and -2 for 3x.... guys Jets may score 10-17 points against SD, but the Chargers will for sure light them up easily.... if u watch the game on monday, miami had 3 or 4 dropped TD passes (including the obvious pass int by Revis (14 point swing)) if u put the chargers in those situation, its just gold

Regardless, I like SD. Hasn't SD's D been a little suspect this year though?

I like SD in this position too. The Jets may be emboldened by that win over Miami, but SD is coming off a bye and will be rested. They are coming in for revenge, this is the 1st time they play the Jets after that horrible playoff loss, when Jet defense and offense was more balanced. I'd take the Chargers til' about -4, anything more I wouldn't pull the trigger on, as SD is a team that plays down to competition. However you won't see the Chargers going three out like the Jets' offense, and NOBODY is talking about Ryan Matthews who's coming into his own in his 2nd year, we'll see as he rolled his ankle against the Broncos two weeks ago, his health might be an issue. I'm going to see as the week goes on, but I do think this is a good play. I'd like to grab it @ this value.

If you could tease the Jets line higher, I'd take that, otherwise I'd just grab the Chargers @ -2.

really? chargers don't need this game? i don't think teams really think like that and i don't see Chargers losing this one. that being said I don't have utter confidence in SD playing up to their full potential, they have tended to be a let down these past few years

It is amazing. If there is one team I have the hardest time laying money down on, it's the chargers. They have f*cked me over so many times. Everytime I'm about to put a bet on them, my instinct tells me to hit the "cancel wager" button.

Guys- when are we going to realize that a bye week is no longer a plus? The new CBA rules say that players aren't allowed to look at tape or take reps but for a limited number of days.

Not that SD isn't the play, but teams after their bye are not coming out ready to go like they used to.

As others have already echoed, the Chargers are just brutal to your bankroll: they tank sure games and struggle regularly as they continually play down to the level of their opponents. One thing that is sorely missing from their offense this year is Sproles. He gave Rivers a great outlet where he could just check down and then watch him make something out of nothing. Still, that Jets team I watched on Monday night vs the Dolphins is a sick outfit. I don't like the Jets either because Sanchez is the most over-rated QB in the league and they struggle to put up points on anyone. The Bolts look like the smart play here.

BTW: the line has reversed about 3 pts because it opened w/the -2 early in the week or at least on Monday night and now has the Bolts as the slight favorite.

line opened Jets -1.5 i think the sharp play is NY since there was such a drastic move within the first 3hrs pushing SD all the way to -2 2.5. i love the buy back on the Jets they have a lot to prove and the best thing that could have happened was a MNF cupcake against the Dolphins. I think the Jets get back on track with a 2nd win in a row....talking all business not as a fan. Also WHO HAS SD PLAYED???? they are 4-1 They beat Min. at home...they were down 16-0 and came back...they beat the KC...Big Deal!...They lost to NE rightfully so....and almost gave a game away in Denver to Tebow off the bench!!!! The Jets beat Dallas then went on the road loosing to OAK, BALT, NE....Easy road schedule??? Got a cupcake last monday and will be ready for sunday Rex will have a great game plan....lets not forget they had NE on the ropes with 6min left just couldnt get Brady off the field. can we say SD had a great game in NE??? NO NOT AT ALL! Jets bounce back into the AFC East this weekend!!!!!

Really? The Jets had a good game against Dallas? They won that game on a blocked punt/TD in the last 5 mins of that game, otherwise that should have been a Dallas victory. How can you make the comparison that the Chargers played poorly and then say the Jets have played well... I don't understand. The Jets have recorded one of the worst 3rd-down conversion percentages in the league, they're running backs are averaging less than 3 yards on 1st and second down, putting more pressure on Sanchez who's been anything BUT stellar this year, in fact it looks like he's regressed. Look for the Chargers to crowd the line against this Jets team, play press coverage, and continue to hamper and take advantage of the poor chemistry Sanchez has had with his WRs. Plaxico Burress has rarely been a factor. I just don't understand the Jets backers in this one. You got mauled by a Raiders team who can only run the ball, in Balt. you got trounced, and the NE game was relatively close... I need to see a better argument here besides "Chargers always play down to their competition", if that was entirely the case this year they would be 2-2, 1-3 like they have in years past. This SD defense is more experienced, and thank God they got rid of that cancer Chromartie from their secondary.

Rivers > Sanchez 90% of the time. The Jets defense puts up a lot of looks on defense, but regardless, you shut down VJack and we can throw to Floyd who's also 6"5', Norv will have a gameplan for this. And this years Chargers can run the ball.

Unless the Jets are +7, which is not going to happen outside of a line movement miracle, I'd take the Chargers to cover.

I don't understand how you can have confidence in an offense that went 3 n out the whole 1st quarter against Miami.

Btw the Minnesota game against SD, there was a kickoff returned for a TD in the 1st quarter, and it wasn't 16-0, it was 7-7... All those numbers you shared are incorrect, no offense.

Jets defense got gouged by the Miami run game, yes the Miami run game. They've given up 100+ yard rushers in every game this year. Chargers rushed for over 200 yards against Miami, over 150 in NE, it can be argued that without Willfork's interception the Chargers could have won in NE. Just like the Cowboys game in NE it was close until late, the Chargers drove up and down the field in that game too.

What remains to be seen in my opinion is whether Ryan Matthews is completely healthy, remember he went out in the Denver game with a high-ankle sprain, and Tolbert had concussion like symptoms. If both RBs are healthy, Chargers will win this SU.

-2 seems like an accurate line for the Chargers.

I agress.... adding the FEUD between Turner and Big mouth rex this week.... The thing is the problem with the Jets is they can keep up scores with scoring teams like dallas, NE, baltimore and oakland... the win with dallas was all luck, they made 1 INT, fumble recovery at the 1, and a blocked punt for a TD... u think this will happen again and considering they are playing the Jets. Secondly, yes they lost sproles, but matthews has been cleaning the mess and doing a really really good job. Like all u said the MNF was a cupcake game, but if u all watched the game, Jets won cus miami coundint score a damn TD LOL... do u think they can hold SD from scoring TD's if put in the same situation that miami had all those chances. Plus vincent jackson is a beast Revis will have trouble covering him, because Rivers throws all the LOB balls to him no like stupid matt moore, which he had no communication or practice with marshall... all thing point to SD. I must admit chargers have been sloppy and yet inconsistent. but at -2 its a very bettable line, because san diego will pretty much win by at least a field goal. Adding to that a bye week I think the coaching staff have gone over the mess that SD has been putting up and not being able to put teams away. remember Chargers turn there engines on mid way of the season, and i believe the bye week came in great timing because they had lots of time to go over all the mistakes and mis cues the team has run into

LOL!!! Being 6 5 means absolutely nothing. I love that just because their receivers ARE SOOOO TALLLL MEANS THEY WILL WIN!@@~! OmgZZZ! He's 6 5.!!! Is that a joke?

The teams they have beaten have a combined record of 4 - 17. They have an average win margin of 6 points and their largest victory over those teams who have a combined record of 4 - 17 is 10 (the Dolphins) AT HOME!

To say that San Diego will "roll" over the Jets is a joke. More so than not, average teams on the road lose to average teams at home. The Jets are also 3 and 0 at home. I have the Jets in a 6-point teaser with the Ravens and am extremely confident in it.

                                            Goodluck though

People keep thinking this jets team is the same as last year and the year before, this is a really bad team this year. Only thing that worries me is a breakfast game for san diego..
