You guys still think peyton is overrated?? 3 games in and the colts look like a girlscout team without peyton. 0-16 is a realistic possibility (who do they beat?). People who hold the fact that he only won one superbowl against him are idiots, this is the worst roster in football and its not close. Peyton is the greatest of all time. Imagine what he would of done with good wideouts, good running back and a good o-line? 5 or 6 superbowls?

#2So Peyton is great just because the Colts always have the worst backups in the league?
Peyton has one ring, and choked in many other playoff games. He even had less tds than ints the playoff year they won it all, it was addai and the defense that won it.
Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne are terrible wideouts? LMAO
He's always had a top O-Line, he doesn't even run around and still got sacked less than most QB's. Has always had a good defenseComment -

#3How did he choke?? There were playoff games he had to score literally every time they had the ball to win the game.

#5Yep worst backup QB's in the league, can you read?
What was it, 4 td's and 7 int's the year they won it all? :lol
Forget about the playoff game against the Ravens where Peyton did jackshit and got bailed out by the kicker and defense?Comment -

#6Lol your post doesnt say backup qb's, can you read? Nobody else would win 8 games with this roster. The colts didnt put anyone around him and he still made the playoffs every year. Greatest QB to ever play the gameComment -

#7Wow. Are you seriously claiming that Manning hasn't had awesome help on offense his entire career? Marvin Harrison had some of the best hands of any WR ever. James, Wayne, Clark, etc are all considered "not having help"?!
Maybe if Peyton was as great as you claim, he'd do a better job with helping his backups understand the offense. How long has Painter been with the team? And he still can't figure shit out?Comment -

Like i said, peyton turned Tamme into a top 5 tight end, he made waynes and harrisons career. If you cant see that you werent watching them for the last 10 years.

Randy Moss and Terrell Owens aren't signed with anyone... do they suck too?
Tamme was not a top 5 TE. Not even close. Not sure what you're basing this on? And both Wayne and Harrison were 1st round draft picks... but you're right, the Colts didn't give Peyton any helpComment -

#13Are you seriously trying to compare marvin to moss and owens?? The knee had nothing to do with it, he never had speed anyway. Tamme was 6th in tight end receptions last year. Im not gonna sit and argue all night but all ill say is look at the rosters, its unreal what peyton did with what he was given. If he had moss for even one year it would of been legendaryComment -

Manning had future Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, top 10 active WR Reggie Wayne, top 5 active TE Dallas Clark, and he even had Brandon Stokley as a third WR for several years. Add in guys like Jeff Saturday on the line and Edge in the backfield, and he had a hell of a roster.
Manning is still a legend, still one of the greatest ever, but to say he didn't have help is laughable.Comment -

#15The point im trying to make is that peyton made those guys..without peyton marvin would be what welker is today, a great slot guy but not even close to hall of famer. Wayne is just a clone of marvin harrison. Look at what edge did when he left, dominic rhodes, etc..
you dont think peyton is the greatest ever? To even make the playoffs with the team they gave him last year is another notch on the belt. Were just going to have to agree to disagreeComment -

#16Yea, we're going to have to agree to disagree lol. I think those guys are great players that Peyton made greater.
I don't like to rank players before they retire. Too much can happen to enhance their legacy (see: Kurt Warner) or hurt it (see: Brett Favre). I hope Manning is healthy enough to play again, it would be a shame for a guy like him to go out like this. I think he and Brady are both top 5 all time, regardless of how their careers go from here. I still have Joe Montana at number 1. The numbers he put up, even before Rice got there, and his numbers in the Super Bowl make him number 1 in my eyes. If I HAD to rank Brady/Manning right now, I'd put Brady at 2 and Manning at 3-5, with Elway and Marino up there as well. A lot can change, though. If Brady starts to suck, and Manning can come back and still play out of his mind, then I would switch them. Too many things can happen before they retire.
Sorry for the long, boring post. Just my thoughts on the matter.Comment -

#17I hope manning comes back healthy too because the league just isnt the same without him. With peyton out theres no one to rival brady. I agree with you that they both have to be top 5, but i would put peyton 1 and Brady 2 or 3. But your exactly right alot can change. Lets hope they both have 4 elite years left in themComment -
