Chiefs gave up over 40 points in 2 straight weeks to start the year. they played the slow starter chargers tough but so did the Vikes in SD, I think Peterson will have a big game as Matthews did yesterday and the Vikings win

AP going up against what has been a horrible run D so far....
That's the biggest mismatch in the game......on paper.

KC is also decimated with key injuries and Arrowhead doesn't have the same intimidating factor that it used to.
Cassel is no better than Mcnabb and McCluster isn't the answer in the running game.

MIN has actually played really well in the 1st half of all their games against quality opponents. KC hasn't looked good at all except last week in the 2nd half against a lackadaisical SD team.

The Vikings have collapsed in the 2nd half 3 weeks in a row in part to the defense not getting stops and the offense not being able to put a drive together. If the Vikings can get a first half lead they should be safe against against a comeback because KC has Cassell at QB instead of Rivers, Freeman or Stafford. Win less teams have one thing in common they find ways to lose but both teams are win less so who knows.

KAN looked bad the first 2 weeks(teams going 0-4 SU in Pre-Season are 3-11 ATS in week 1 since '06) against teams they are less familiar with(facing BUF every 3yrs avg./facing DET every 4 yrs. avg.) but, they played strong against SDG who they face twice per year(Road Dogs of +10 or more facing Divisional opponent going back to the beginning of '06 season are now 12-50 SU 42-19-1 ATS). now they face a less familiar opponent again in MIN. this role does not favor KAN nor does the point spread trends, but there is a reason they play the game.

it is true that SDG did have 123yrds more on offense, 1 more forced fumble against, 1 more interception against, 1 more sack against and were outscored by 7pts in the 4th but man did they dominate KAN!!!

honestly this seems the most logical play on this gm. of coarse in the new nfl logical unders are a scary proposition, to me anyway..

would think the only way they sniff this number is with special teams plays and turnovers leading directly to points because as you said the playcalling and overall offensive play from both sides has been horrid. Hailey should have never brought Wiess in last season because now with him gone it shows what a utter moron this guy is. I mean he got the job based off being the Ocord on a team with Warner and Fitz, doesnt take rocket science to call plays with the group he had in zona.

Far as minny goes i havnt seen enough of their gms to know how the playcalling has been but it cant be easy calling plays when you got a qb that skipped his mid 30s and turned 50 in front of our eyes. Id imagine the only play to call is AP right, AP left.

Well my money is on KC in this spot. Not that I really like them, but Minnesota played fairly well against San Diego, Tampa Bay and the nasty Lions, yet they are just a 3 point favorite against a team who's getting blown out for almost every game.

KC showed some signs of life against the Chargers, why not carry the momentum to their home game against the Vikes, who ain't anything special either.

But I agree, if you take KC plus points you have to expect them to win, as it's an unlikely scenario that Vikes win but KC covers.
