    Could you Carolina backers...
Give me a reason why the panthers cover versus the jags other than "cam newton must win this game because he wants it so bad"?

Jags are heading in the wrong direction while the Panthers are heading in the right. Panthers were able to hang around with the Packers last week. Jags were blown away by the Jets at home. The Jags have no plan of action. They're throwing in rookie Gabbert in to try and save the season. We all know how that's going to end. Newton playing in his third career game, posting up solid numbers in both previous outings. He should be able to continue to carve defenses up especially this weak defense.

    I lean Panthers hard.

Some great points. But are the jags really as helpless as you think? I think they do indeed have a plan of action. Their running game has looked solid this year with jones drew back in full health. Panthers run d has looked bad. Jags will keep panthers off of the field by controlling the game. Newton won't put up his huge numbers again because this game won't be a shootout

Panthers did fairly well against the mighty Packers whereas Jags got blown out by the Jets and yet the Panthers are just a 3.5 fav. Shouldn't the line be like -4.5/5?

          Panthers ML or Jags +3.5.

they are both trash i could give you 100 reasons how either team could lose....Now that Gabbert is starter and everyone luvs Cam this gm getting a little hype so just do what you should do every NFL gm that ppl are interested in and take the over, ppl love overs, nfl loves the ppl, whether it from big plays, turnovers, or help from the refs, points will be scored....

yall just see the score and make an assumption about a team, jags defense played fairely well against the jets, defense was plagued by bad field position (MCcown 4 interceptions) plus they were on the field the majority of the game, when two rookies square off usually the team with the best defense wins and jags defense is better than the injury plagued panthers, jaguars offense is built to beat a team like carolina, it will be a good game but i give the edge to the jags.
