Turn +$4000 into +$40,000

2 years ago, I was able to pull this off. Took the money and ran. Haven't bet on a game until this season.
I'm going to try it again this year!

Week#1, I took the Eagles -5 +103. I was worried a little when the line kept dropping to Eagles -4 +100 but when you like a game, you like the game! And played a 5-team teaser. I won so now I am playing with winnings.
Technically, I'm a little under +$4000 but whatever, I'm going to ride it to +$40,000 and then cash out, at least that is my goal.
My goal for week#1 was to double up. Basically accomplished my goal!

Here are my Week#2 thoughts.

Right now, I am leaning on Atlanta at home. I think the public and big money will go to the Eagles and the line will go my way. I'll probably wait until right before game time to put in a wager but I'm guessing I'll be playing Atlanta +2.5 +100 or Atlanta +3 -115 for about $2000.

I like a lot of teams but a little weary of the large numbers. No way Jets lose but 9.5? Love Baltimore but a little weary that they are on the road after a big win. No way Pitt loses after last week but 15.5? Love GB but also make me a little worried that they are on the road. And Chargers should keep it close.

So, I'm playing a 5-team teaser for now.

2 years ago, I finished playing at about week#13 or #14??? It took like 2 months to get the money cashed in my bank account. I'm better prepared this year as I can get the money right away more or less by depositing through (neteller, moneybookers, **********) instead of having to wait for a check to be mailed and then waiting another month for the checks to clear. Not betting in the playoffs was difficult.

Then, in April, I opened a business and it ate up most of my time. It was the first year I didn't watch NFL every Sunday since I was in high school. It's not like I didn't want to follow football but when you're putting in 12-14 hour days and struggling to make a profit, your priorities do change. Maybe it helped that Favre and the Vikings sucked.

That was about a year and a half ago and now my life is back to sort of normal hours.

Anyways, I'm not posting to get you to follow my picks or anything like that. Just posting for myself so I have a record of my picks and my thoughts at the time. I wish I had kept a record 2 years ago so I could look at it now and remember what I was thinking at the time.

Watching the Baltimore game was PAINFUL!
Watching the Atlanta game was way too stressful until the end! Luckily Vick got hurt and Atlanta won!

Week#3 should be good. Traditionally, this has been a really good week for me.
