Ndoel 2011 NFL Selections (From my Fantasy Squads)

Kicking off the NFL Season with my first plays tonight. I'll be tracking my selections here throughout the season.

I'll be making my selections based on my fantasy football teams each week, betting on my players, and against my opponent. Not the most scientific approach, but it makes the games a lot more fun. It worked well for me last year. I came in 2nd in a 14 team league, so obviously hit a lot of bets on the way to it. Basically, if my fantasy squad does well, I win money. If not, I take a double whammy. Let's see how it pans out.

8-9-1 yesterday. Started out great at the 1:00 games, but lost all the 4:00 and night game. One more tonight to see if we can pull even for the weekend. Just like the wagers, my fantasy squads had mixed performances, and it looks like I'll have 1 winner and 1 loser in my two leagues.

3-1 last time out. Both fantasy squads are 1-1. Expecting to do very well this week.

5 for today. Taking a risk and going with Cam instead of the white hot Stafford this week. This is a time when I'm letting my bets influence my fantasy team, rather than vice versa. It makes sense that the lions should roll over the Vikes, but I don't like the reverse line movement there, Vegas wants Detroit money for some reason. So we're gonna roll with the Cam express and Carolina.

Terrible 1-4 yesterday, and both my fantasy squads came up lame. Already lost one match, but still have a small outside shot to get a W in the other, if my TE Witten can get me 20+ points tonight . . . doubtful, but you never know.

Bad outing again last weekend, 2-5 overall. My fantasy squads did manage to eke out 2 wins, bringing them both to 2-2 overall. Given the 2 rough weekends the last 2 times out, gonna try to change things up a bit. I'm gonna find a few of the key games, figure out where vegas wants the money, and go the other way.
