    Big Ole TDs
    Hi,
long time lurker, rare poster. some real good handicappers around here, though sifting is required.

had lots of luck last year in NFL, so i'm joining the bandwagon.

It's early, but i LOVE these two games. been eyeing them for a while.

9/11/11 1:00pm NFL Football 455 Detroit Lions pk +105* vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    - Major Detroit weakness is secondary. i don't see TB wideouts making the plays to expolit, nor the aggressive playcalling to go deep and take advantage.

    - Suh was contained last year by TB, i don't see that happening this year. he remembers.

    - Talib, the TB stud corner is just getting over bad hammy. Megatron will get LOTS of targets.

    - Detroit historically bad on road, however TB home advantage is minimal, we're not talking a tough place to play.

    - TB starting a rookie middle linebacker (Mason Foster) who can't cover. Pettigrew all day.

Bottom line this is a great matchup for Detroit. very confident with this game.

    9/11/11 1:00pm NFL Football 457 Atlanta Falcons -2½ -125* vs Chicago Bears

    - All indications are that Matty Ice is going to be let loose this year. starts in Week 1.

    - Bears big 2010 strength stopping the run, they can't load up vs Atlanta, way too many weapons.

    - Briggs sideshow will effect him and subsequently the defense.

    - Bears did nothing to positively address WR issue.

    - John Abraham is going to eat j'Marcus Webb's lunch. it's going to be ugly.

    - Both teams are suspect in secondary, but the huge advantage goes to Atlanta here with their wideouts. Bears D will not be able to dominate the line for all four quarters. the injured Falcons C does hurt them, but it's not enough. Atlanta wideouts will make plays eventually.

This is just a good Atlanta matchup. Bears are not going to eat the clock OR score anywhere near enough points here.

    i fully expect a 2-0 start!

    best of luck to everybody
