Don't underestimate the impact of a new quarterback in the tail end of his career. He also lost his best receiver and one of the most capable of catching the sure wild throws McNabb has become accustomed to throwing. He has too burners on the outside in Berrian and Harvin but having the strength to reach burners has never been McNabb's issue, its his accuracy in short and midrange throws. They might be able to get one or two past the safeties but I don't see them connecting down field consistently. With that being said they still have an animal in the backfield. Look for the chargers to stack that box but still be causious of the long ball. Middle of the field does not post a major threat to the Chargers D. Run blitzes and deep zone coverages will get the job done against the Vikes.Originally posted by a4u2fear
No need to discuss the Chargers offense, the weapons are there. I see the Chargers having way too much fire power for the Vikings to keep up. The Chargers do have a tendency to start slow but I think the Vikes will start slower. 9 is a hefty price to pay for any team week 1 but my money will be with the chargers on this one.

I think McNabbs presence in the backfield will open up windows Adrian Peterson has never seen before and he will post career-high numbers. I thought that would be the case when Favre came to MN, but somehow he convinced Childress that the Vikings were a pass dominated offense. I don't think McNabb will have this effect and I believe McNabb knows his place on this team after Washington... Also, everybody is underestimating the Vikings secondary but if you look once Leslie Fraiser took over last season, he shifted the focus from offense to defense. I think the Vikings +9 has strong value and potentially a nice play on the moneyline...Comment -
