Week 1 Steelers vs Ravens Under 36- Thoughts

Okay so I have this in a parlay. It is really the only play that I can see losing. But I wouldn't be surprised if this is a 13-10 type ball game.

What do you guys think about the Steelers/ Ravens week 1 matchup? Is the under a good play or did I throw my money away?

don't call it a lock... that will jinx it. Too late I already made the parlay. My thoughts were that both teams would play conservative running the ball and both teams have a great defense.

if you arent sure why did you play it. Tough game to cap the total, over the teams both teams are becoming more pass happy, this game means a lot for postseason hopes for both teams. If both qbs go with good timing/sync with their wr corps, it could easily end in the 40s, also both teams can create turnovers and pusgh for field advantage. honestly the game is a tossup in sides and totals.

Usually always play under. Defenses are always too strong though Evans and Brown/Sanders could make a difference.

Flacco is a liability at QB and the coaches i'm sure have instructed him not to take any chances down field.... The Ravens have a good running game but I doubt they run for 100 yards againts Pittsburgh's defense.

Steelers have some talent on offense but they haven't been the same since they traded Sanantonio Holmes... the defense really carries this team.

Both teams have great pass rush so both QB's will not have time in the pocket

Ummm, Mike Wallace? Don't be surprised if you see Ben try 4-5 deep balls to him. He's got speed to burn and good hands. If you extrapolate his 12 games with Ben last year to a full season, he would've put up elite numbers.

I'm teasing the over down to 29... I think it should be a 17-14 final at minimum. Good luck with your play tho, it could very easily hit

even if you get smashmouth pit/balt football 20-17 beats you. Honestly dont think you gotta worry about that as i think both teams end up in the 20's.

pit has serious weapons if you do not know it you should prob wait a few weeks before you make any bet. Evans is gonna be a huge not much talked about addition to the ravens. Neither teams corners are anything to brag about.

Both teams d's more than capable of getting a score, hell you can pretty much bank on 1 and another setting up a score. Pit willingness to open this game up will force Cameron to unleash Flacco for better or worse (either way hurts the under).

To top it all off after this strange offseason in the ever changing NFL (for better or worse) im just not convinced you see these teams defenses coming out like you have grown used to in this matchup, not sure it good for either team to turn this into the slugfest you are looking for.
