Rumor has it Peyton Manning may sit out week 1!!!!

Any truth to this? It's about 1 month until the season kicks off and Peyton Manning is in a neck brace... Now Peyton Manning is the Colts , you would think that they will not risk further injury by bringing him back too soon.


I'm starting to like this Texans ML bet in week 1. Texans always play the Colts tough and Johnathan Joseph at CB will help limit Reggie Wayne's productivity.

if peyton it's not going to play why play the ml, when you can get the points and be richer. I'm sure you read wrong, he will sit for the 1st preseason game, it's a divisional game and their 1st goal is to win their division

I don't think that Colts would want to start the season with a 0 - 1 record. Well then you might say that they started that way last season so why not this. If they sit Peyton than before the game starts we all know that they will lose. If he starts then it's a 75 - 25 percent with the higher percent on them winning the game. This is my two cents.

and why start the rumor now with a month away of the game, all the colts o and d rolls with peyton, why bring the stamina and momentum down from now to your key player, it was a very naive assumption from the op.

Probably misinformation. It is more and likely week 1 of preseason, which starters won't play much anyway.
