How many wins for the Carolina Panthers this season???

I know Paco made a similar thread for the Detroit Lions but I thought it was an interesting thread and I want to know what you guys think about the Panthers this season?


Personally I can't make up my mind about this team. On one hand this is the same team on paper that finished 12-4 two seasons ago and got blown out by the Arizona Cardinals. The only difference between that team and this team on paper is Julius Peppers has been replaced by Charles Johnson and Jake Delhomme has been replaced by Derek Anderson (2007) pro bowler and #1 pick Cam Newton.

Still I think in order to make the playoffs they need to sign Braylon Edwards... what do yall think?

They lost most of their D-line which was one of the best in the league. Also Tampa Bay and Atlanta are vastly improved in the last few years. No longer w's on the schedule.

DeAngelo Williams was a total bust last year. ( and im a hugh DWill fan from his Memphis days)

Jonathon Stewart was ok but teams knew to just stack the box and Game Over. Maybe Cam can help with the Play Action.

Here is the thing about Carolina.... they will be able to run the ball as good as anyone. But if they get behind in the game they will not be able to come back. They really need another WR especially since they are inexperienced at QB. I think Cam will be a HUGE improvement over Jimmy Clausen.

Carolina's GM Marty Hurney has to be the worst GM in all of football... he wasted #2 draft pick on Armanti Edwards who played QB at App State and drafted him as WR last year. This is nuts b/c Randy Moss was traded for a 4th rounder by Oakland and Sanantio Holmes was traded to the Jets for a 6th rounder.


The Panthers coach is calling for 10 wins this season but unless Brandon Lafell turns into a super star I see 4-12 this season. It's not that the Panthers aren't better than last year it's just everyone they play is just that much better.
