Kyle Orton outplays Tim Tebow at Broncos’ practice
    I laughed at this:

    ProFootballTalk.com -

The Broncos’ quarterback situation continues to be puzzling.
Multiple reports have indicated that the Broncos will trade Kyle Orton, most likely to the Dolphins. And yet when the Broncos practiced for the first time today, Orton wasn’t just on the field — he was running the show with the first-string offense, and from all accounts outplaying Tim Tebow, the 2010 first-round draft pick who is supposedly the team’s quarterback of the future.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Orton looked poised and polished, while Tebow looked slower in finding receivers and less accurate in his passing. Klis writes that not only did Orton look better than Tebow, but Brady Quinn looked better than Tebow, too.

And they made Tebow a statue... maybe it was the statue that was at the practice while Tebow looked slower in finding receivers and less accurate in his passing

I live 10 miles away from their training camp. I should check it out.

It's important to keep Orton on the team.

Would it be strange if they traded Tebow to Miami? Since Tebow played in Florida during college.

It is called the Tim Tebow effect, he is such a nice guy that I think people forget that this is football and that Tebow will never be an elite QB in the NFL.

Orton is an average starting QB in the nfl , in my opinion.
Tebow? not ready to start yet. So these dumbasses are going to trade Orton? Doesn't make any sense.

Tebow is going to start for Denver, end of discussion, Orton could go 900 for 900 with 110000 yards in exhibition, still won't matter, Denver is already on record as saying we are going with Tebow.

If so, I'm on record as saying Denver finishes fourth in that division.

Why not get it out of the way so that Tebow can sink or swim. Do you really think the Broncos want to mess around with Tebow for 3 or 4 seasons when they can figure it out in 1 or 2.

They had better keep Orton, even if Tebow is the "chosen one." Tebow will not make it through the entire season. His instincts will take over on a play that is breaking down, he'll run it up the middle, and they'll have to scrape him off the field.

NO crap Orton made more plays. Orton is a DAMN FINE QB. I'd take him in a second on my team, if my team wasn't blessed with Rodgers.
The guy is just a winner. His TD/INT ratio is AMAZING and he was on pace to beat a dickload of records throwing the football last season.. Sure the Broncos were down most of the time, but the guy is rock f'n steady good.

Also, I am an Orton fan because of his rookie year - out chuggin Jack outta the bottle during the week and hanging out with groupies. Deadspin covered it. God bless the guy, he can play, for sure.

Last season in the Red Zone, Orton completed only 43.3 percent of his passes. It doesn’t stop there. He completed only 50 percent of his passes on third downs. His completion percentage was also 50 when Denver was down by eight points or less in the fourth quarter.

So if you like quarterbacks incredibly indecisive on 3rd down leading you to a 4th place finish in the AFC West, Orton is Da Man.

                                            1) first instict tells me article is a bullshit marketing ploy

                                            2) how many times have we heard in the nfl that a qb had an amazing week of practice and then the game comes and they suk like sh1t

                                            3) tebows side of the story (if any1 cared to hear it) was a lot different and confirms 1) and 2)

Orton is a decent QB but they want to start a new era with Tebow, they just want to move Orton elsewhere. Miami has had bad luck with Qb's lately, they could use him. I would probably start orton over moore, henne, but I don't get paid big bucks to coach football so this will be interesting to see how it plays out.
