lol......better than rooting for the Leafs! I'm 37 and have been a Whalers/Hurricanes fan since the 7th grade. Ron Francis was my favourite player growing up.

I do remember being a Leafs fan before that, but got tired of them losing when as a young kid I expected them to win all the time and switched over to the Whalers and rooted for an underdog and it has stuck ever since.

Wasnt easy losing to the Habs and Bruins all the time either.

Haha I get that man, switching to the Whalers back then was a solid underdog move. Ron Francis was a legend too, and yeah Leafs heartbreak is a lifelong tradition it seems.
