Also, if the lockout goes much longer, the timing being off for offensive execution due to lack of reps will be more problematic than time missed in defensive preparation. In short, pound the under until the lines adjust if the lockout persists.

Its actually the Chargers who start slow, not Minny. Peterson and Toby in the backfield but the $64million question is who is going to be their leader? Ponder as a rookie...? From the look of early week 1 lines I'm not sure this is a blind theory you can go ahead with. Remember that totals jumped the shark last year and overs were hitting at unprecedented rates. Most of the early lines are well below the raised averages from last season.
