Arizona & Seattle got their Eye on Kolb...
My money is on he'll end up in Az and they will be back in the race to be contenders for a future SB.

I just don't see him going to Seattle... he'd have a better performance with the Cards, but that's IMO...

Arizona is the dream job for any free agent QB, IMHO. They've got a complete team that was peaking a couple years ago, they can't be that far away with plenty of veteran leadership and maybe the best WR in the NFL in Fitz. I'm just not sure why Arizona didn't make a big move like this when Kurt announced his retirement, that's the only thing that makes me wonder about a deal like this.

Kolb could very well be the missing piece in Arizona. Its pretty obvious their in desperate need of a QB and taking a chance with Kolb wouldn't hut them one bit. Kolb will do a lot better in Zona than Seattle, thats obvious.

Arizona is in need of a QB more than sea. even though they both do.

Been doin a bit of follow up on the story and now it seems that there are two possibles for AZ... Kolb is their #1 option, but if they can't get him, they'll go for Kyle Orton...

I think it's something very interesting, with Orton's arm he and Fitz would practically be unstoppable... BUT Kolb has a decent arm too... so this is quite the conundrum we have here... I wonder what's gonna happen,.

What do you think about this new development of events???

At least Orton has a solid body of work. If he can be had at a fair price, I'd definitely go with him over Kolb.

If I'm Zona, I try to get Orton. The Bulger rumors are just that - the guy can't play worth a damn. Martz' system destroyed him. Orton? The guy just wins. I don't know why he's always in a QB controversy. Kold could end up there in AZ, but it's bad for him (or any other player, worst ownership in the SW and likely top 3 worst owners in the league). Fitzy is going to play out his contract this year and end up elsewhere. Dunno, you'd have to be mental to play in Zona, Buffalo or Cincinatti at this point.

Also, the askin price for Kolb is MORE than what Shaub's asking price is right now.. At least rumors suggest. Shaub, was worth 2 2nd rounders plus a 'trade up' in the 1st round (if I remember proper) - erm swap of picks (the team that gets him moves way back). No one will give that much up for him. It's possible, but highly unlikely. I wouldn't, especially because in a year Philly won't be able to keep him and also, by stinking, you have a BETTER prospect in the wings in Andrew Luck.

Orton has proven he can win football games in the league and he wouldn't be a bad second option for the Cards. I'd still try and go for Kolb but that all depends on the price. Like someone mentioned Kolb has a solid body of work and a strong arm. He just needs some more snaps behind center to get a bit more confidence and I could very well see him winning football games for that struggling Cardinals team.

Kolb = over rated 2nd string qb. To say that he will save any franchise is a stretch. What has he done to prove himself worthy? IMO Carson Palmer is a away better qb that could give you a quick turn around (1-2 year) for a super bowl.

I just don't see Kolb in Zona. He makes a dickload more sense in Seattle with Bevel. Also, Seattle is not afraid to be aggressive with picks in the current regime. If I'm Zona and get Orton for a 4th rounder? I'm f'n happy as all get out, although, they have potentially a franchise QB in the wings in Jon Skelton - the kid can sling it. He just needs more time to be ready. That other rook they started in Zona was utter crap. Sure, he showed a lot of bad decisions ala Skelton, but when the game was in a tough spot, the decision is easy. I question Zona's scouting/coaching staff with that 'other rook' that I can't remember his name. Skelton is every bit as good as Flacco, with better feet, but he played for a non top tier school - give the kid time to learn and he will. I thought he was fantastic as a rookie, when given the opportunity.

Also, Zona is one of the worst run franchises in the NFL, despite having skeptically strong coaching. I would never want to play there, but that's me. They have let EVERYONE walk, more or less. Fitzgerald will walk, also, after this season. Count on it. If they can't pony up to pay Boldin, then they are a horribly run franchise. Also, Fitz's contract was one of the WORST rookie contracts I've ever seen, short of a #1 overall QB. They gave the kid more cash than is fair and also f'd themselves by doing so and had to let a lot of quite nice players go because of it.
