the deal is worth $43 million with $15 million guaranteed.
What do you think this means in regards to the draft? Patrick Peterson could be off the radar

I don't think so. If he's the best player available, you have to take him. I have a feeling CB is less of a 'need' now and if they evaluate someone higher, then that's what the Broncos do. Peterson is still on the radar, though, they kid grades out high and if his measureables come in where they should, it's going to be hard to NOT take him. In the AFC West, having 3 serviceable or better CBs is very important. I think Denver could do well with another corner - especially after than alfonso smith disaster (one of the worst trades ever - I remember being on the phone with my brother, a Bronco fan, and going apeshit after Denver made the deal and pick - he was a 'reach' pick where he went, at best).

Champ is getting old. He'll be 33 next year. He isn't the same elite guy he was 5-10 years ago, but still a solid starter in the NFL.

If I was Denver I would still draft Peterson if available. Guys like Peterson dont come around too often. And Bailey would be the perfect mentor for Peterson

The John Fox 4-3 normally plays lots of zone coverage.
Peterson is more of a man/ press corner.
So really either way I'd be shocked if they picked peterson.
i bet they try and trade back a bit and if not take Fairley/miller or dareus

Great player, but also a lot of money to give a guy his age.

yeah one thing is for sure if we go with defense i am happy. we have the dolphins second round pick so if we can trade down to 6-10 and get another second or third we can really sure up the defense. We need rusers, stuffers and another corner. The last couple drafts have been horrible.

There's no doubt that Champ has been one of the best corners in the league, if not the best!

Matt Williamson on the Podcast made a good point that Bailey, ala Rod Woodson, could move to FS and excel there. With that, they can pair Bailey and Peterson at CB and move Bailey to FS in a couple of years

is he worth this? I still stay you should lockdown the secondary by drafting a top CB if you think he is a rare talent.

I haven't read any rumors or anything, but in thinking about what is going on in Denver, I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to take one of the QBs, although, unlikely where they are picking.

As a Texans fan, I was hoping somehow Wade Phillips could snatch him but Denver's deal is too good.

Bailey, as per what little I saw of him this year, is incapable of being a 'press' corner. He's always been a step behind against mid-level receivers. I think his effort is a big part of it, however. I've seen him shut down guys that run faster than he is capable of covering in the past 2-3 seasons. It's when he underestimates players or doesn't play his potential that he gets owned. He's a heluva football player, but his contract is out of line, IMO. The guy can play a safety position and be excellent, but I think his days as a 'press' corner have been done for years now. He doesn't compete down the field the same way he competes on a running play. While I love that about him (ala Charles Woodson), I think John Fox is an excellent fit for his talents. Fox gets more out his players than most coaches and is easily amongst the tops in the NFL, IMO. Denver really could use a stud CB like Peterson. The guy is just a baller.

but could you justify taking a cb over a DT if you are denver?
