    Is this a bad bet?
Here's a screen shot of last seasons Super Bowl vs odds. Is this the worst way to bet?

Probably the worst bet imaginable. I don't think even 1 in 50 people could guess right doing that. So ya, probably one of the worst bets

GunShard, I would recommend ignoring exhoosier's response as it had no value whatsoever.

Regarding your question about whether the Super Bowl team vs team bets are bad, what you are betting on is a parlay of the NFC and AFC conference winners.

Its pretty easy to get a consensus type line as to what fair value is on each winner and you would then multiply the 2 to come up with fair value odds for the wager you indicated.

In almost all cases, bets that involve payout at very high odds normally have tons of "vig" attached to them and I would guess that is the case with the 5 Dimes team vs team Super Bowl winner.

I placed a bet very similar to this as I like both the OKC Thunder and Boston to meet in the NBA final. I got +3400 on the wager which was almost exactly what the parlay would have paid on the 2 teams.

Since the allowed betting limit on these high odds bets is pretty low, if you like the bet and the odds attached to it, then fire away and hope for the best.

andywend, I agree but I think it's easier with the NBA to do this bet than with the NFL. The NFL is less predictable.

It's maybe not a terrible way to bet, at least the hold isn't bad with such long odds. I'd have to compare the odds with what the individual odds were for each team, which I'm too lazy to do at the moment. One reason I never took a deep look at these types of odds is because I haven't really seen them around that much, they don't seem super common.

There is so much going on every season that its really just a shot in the dark. Definately not something to put a full size bet on.
