Is the Steelers offense weaker without Santonio Holmes?

The Steelers do not seem to be the same team from two seasons ago.

Holmes is a tremendous talent, so it's hard to say no. But Pitt has a lot of WR depth that should be able to fill that void.

During the Super Bowl, Ben didn't seem right. He had some kind of injury in his plant foot which required him to wear some kind of modified shoe and I think that messed up his throwing action. He should be able to sort out his injury in the offseason, but the Steelers really need to protect their QB better if they want to keep making deep playoff runs. Ben is tough, but he looked ragged and worn down at the end of that game.

I will say that Wallace would be even better if Holmes were on the other side.

I don't think the Holmes trade had anything to do with his on-the-field play. It was the off-the-field stuff.

Pitts runs a very tight organization as far as player conduct. I'm actually surprised they didn't try to trade Ben.

I think they did try to trade Ben. Don't know if the whole organization was on board with that move and I don't think they were getting any kind of value in return.
