I thought the public is on the Under. The lines opened at 45 dropping to 44.5 to 44.

The Oppg: Opponents Points Per Game, Steelers are 1st rank, Packers are 2nd rank.

I thought the public viewed both teams are strong defenses which would make them choose the Under.

I think even with 2 stong defenses there should be some big scoring plays and possibly a defensive or special teams td as well. Without going back and looking my impression is that most sb's are fairly high scoring and I expect this one to be also.

why take the points. if steelers are so good. they should win outright. which i like anyway. small though.

as far as the total. it might be a reverse line movement. and the book is trying to fake out. but usally when a total drops its becuz bettors moved it that way.

so it could be sharp money, but usually it takes public money to move a superbowl line. but the book mite be juking and faking. trying to make you think public is on the under.

i dunno. i don't follow ur logic very well. sorry.
