I'm still trying to figure out how much I'm going to hedge but playing the Steelers +3.5 is very tempting. (Buying 1/2 point with a lot of juice)

I would definitely bet a few thousand on the Steelers, nothing would suck more then the Steelers winning and you walking away with nothing. 4k or so....or if you really feel like Green Bay will win it, just bet 2K or so on the Steelers.

wow very nice. no matter how much you think GB will win you have to take emotion out of it and hedge here. I would probably put 2k on Steelers money line so I know I'm either getting about $2200 or $6500. Then I'd drink quite a few celebratory beers and root for the packers

good point. 4,000 on PIT ML (+125) & you'd walk with about $4,500. Or if GB wins you walk with about $4,500 as well. Man I'd love to be in your situation lol

I would hedge with Steelers ML +130 - 3k to win 3,900

GB wins you prfoit 5,882.60

Pitt wins you profit 3,690.48

You like GB so you still stand to win over 2k more with a GB win but assure yourself at min, a gain of just under 3,700; now bad for a 300 original investment.

FYI.. so far in the 2011 playoffs, the team that won has also covered the spread in EVERY game. A perfect 10-0 ATS. This could be the game that changes but I'd take the plus money ML & would'nt mess with the +3 or +3.5.

Why not put $2500 on Steelers ML, and $1500 on Steelers +3.5 (not entirely sure of the juice, but guessing it'll win you 1k-ish)...

Steelers win- you hit both, for around 4k
Packers win by 4+- you win original, so around 5k
Packers win by <4- you win original and ATS, so $7800


Someone double check my math/logic here lol. It looks right though...

Thanks again everyone for your advice, as I said before I'd update my final play in case you were interested...

Decided to listen to most of you and just take the Steelers ML at +135 with a local for 3K to win $4050 so I can sit back and enjoy the game knowing I'll win at least $4K. (Minus my original $321 bet and my prop bets etc...)
