#42Nope, not betting on this game. I have a future on GB to win the SB that I placed back in mid August. Falcons win on Saturday night because this game isnt being played on a neutral field, its in the GA Dome. Dont fuk with the Falcons at home. Been in this game long enough to know that Im just talking with my heart and not my head and to not bet on the Falcons but to just enjoy the game. Go Falcons.
Peace out kidComment -

#46actually it would be...considering the standard rule is 3 pts for homefield and the line is 2.5...Gb would be -1 at MOST...most likely line would be a PK

#49He's actually right. The line is saying that the Packers are better than ATL. And all of the power ratings I respect are saying that as well...
What's more, all of the futures markets are saying that GB will not be getting points on the road at Chicago if they manage to get by ATL. They would be double digit favorites at SEA, which is just an atrocious playoff team.
I have GB as the second best team in the NFL. Chicago and Atlanta are both more likely to win the NFC though. Chicago has a really easy game this week, which really helps their chances when you do the calculations. And of course Atlanta has HFA and is favored over the visiting Packers this weekend.
But GB is the best team in the NFC. I actually think they are better than any team outside of the Patriots, who are the class of the NFL this year.Comment -

#50The better team doesn't always win so does it really matter all that much?
Basing your bet on "one team better then the other" will get you buried more times then often. But why am I telling such a successful sports bettor like yourself.
This thread is very misleading.Comment -

This is the playoffs, so I think having the best team is more important than HFA no matter how strong.Comment -

ATL would be home against Chicago though, and Chicago is definitely the weakest of the 3. ATL would be like a 4.5 point home favorite against Chicago.
But GB would have to play Chi on the road, and would be less than a 3 pt favorite.Comment -

Packers knows how it is to play at Georgia Dome, they "should" have won there this season. But Rodgers fumbled on the 1-yard line, then the usual last minute drive where Atlanta has been lucky on more than one occasion this year(Baltimore-game anyone?!).
I like the Packers in this one, but I would take the points, cause this can be a tight game once again. Atlanta isn't as strong at home as Patriots. Atlanta should have lost against Packers, Bucs and Baltimore. But sure "luck" and referees favoring the home team is part of the game I guess. Still, they are not as strong as their home record suggest. Just take a look at the Chiefs, not as good at home as their record suggest either.Comment -

#62Thats funny because I came away from the first Falcons game thinking that the Falcons should have won by 2x TD. After being up 17-10 and doing what ever the hell they wanted against the Packers Defense, Mike Mularky went ultra conservative and allowed the Packers to get back into the game instead of trying to go up 24-10. You want to talk about Rogers fumble on the 1 yard line? How about the 4th and forever TD he fired into the endzone to send the game into overtime? That wasnt lucky? Your pissed because your defensive back got pushed over like a bitch to finish your team off...now you gotta play in Pitt.Comment -
