With the way Kansas City has played recently, and Baltimore having some success in the playoffs in past seasons, I gotta go with the Ravens to cover on the road. If the Ravens can force Cassel to throw the ball they have a very good chance of shutting down that offense and I don't see the Chiefs stopping the Baltimore running backs

ohh shoots... i think i just made a **REALLY** bad pick for the Ravens. right after i confirmed it my mind instantly had that odd feeling: Wait. A. Minute... D'OH!!!

here's what i picked:
Ravens +2½ & Baltimore Ravens / Kansas City Chiefs OVER 34½
as a 6pt teaser for -110.

this is within one of my first few sports picks as a newb. and at the time my logic was since the Ravens INDEED got moved to -3.5 (-120) i felt ripped off but i wanted to pick them anyway so this seemed like an easy way to gain back some value. so i guess my question is..
a) would simply staying at -3.5 with a payout of -120 have been a MUCH better choice?
b) if i had done the teaser as Ravens +2.5 & game score of UNDER 46.5 been a slightly better choice?

or was my sleepy-gut-feeling correct and +2.5/Over 34.5 (-110) a safe enough choice?
damn, it was unnecessary risk, wasn't it?

SO... how do i prevent myself from making such glaring mistakes in the future??
