    Raiders Fire Tom Cable
I don't understand the firing of Coach Cable. It looks like the Raiders were on there way up with a decent 8-8 overall record and 6-0 division record.

Have fun restarting all over again Raider fans.

The Raiders didn't do that bad this season. They swept the division and ended on a good note. I wonder if the Raiders are gonna try to bring in Gruden...?

I don't know why but I think Gruden would be a good fit in there. He did coach them 9 years ago so maybe he could be returning to coach again. Who knows.

I agree. They were headed in the right direction with Cable. They maxed out with what they had.

Hahaha. That's what I used to think but he started to make some changes unlike Jerry Jackass Jones.

Jerry Jones has been to the Playoffs 4 times in the last 6 years. While only winning one game, he has still had winning teams.

Al Davis on the other hand, has had one of the worst teams in the NFL every year. This year they show progress, but he lets a personal feud between himself and the Head Coach get in the way of business.

I am surprised, I thought Cable did a great job this year. I wonder who Al Davis has in mind to take over the reigns.

Al Davis will be wearing the whistle next year.

It will be like a Remake of My cousin Vinny, but this time the guy only "looks" dead.

I hope he does have someone in mind, but my guess is he doesn't. The problem with Davis is that he doesn't think a head coach matters. He'd much rather give money to the players, he will pay another newcomer chicken feed and expect his "genius" to make them a winning team.

Yea but Post Parcells era has been pretty crappy if you ask me except for the first year with Wade. And their drafts have been horrendous after 2007. I do agree that Al Davis is bad but they made progress this year while the Cowboys regressed.
