Chargers -8 at Bengals

Someone please explain to me how the Chargers don't cover this number? I mean.. yes, this is the NFL and anything can happen but how do you expect the Bengals to compete here?

Chargers need to win both remaining games to get into the playoffs......

I am trying to find a reason not to LOVE the chargers here. They are a good run defense allowing 3.7 yards per carry and cinn is without owens and have a banged up ocho. this is a huge game for chargers as well.

Only negative is no gates and it is in the cold on the road with possible snow.

Really? After watching Arizona beat Dallas? Taking the Bengals +8 myself.
Way too much action on the Chargers for me to like them.

9 points for a HOME team is a LOT. Pathetic Cardinals got 8 and won straight up, Cincy is a lot better than Arizona.
Cincy has player MUCH better SOS...# 1 toughest vs. # 26 (Saggarin).
It will be cold weather, SD is California warm weather team.
If it is also windy it will be tougher to pass, and lower scoring.. good to have the points.
Cincy has played OK since they have been eliminated... they are used to it and are playing for jobs, salaries, etc.
Deep in their hearts, SD knows they blew it, even if they win 2 they may not make it to the playoffs.

its a way different scenerio here. Dallas had nothing really to play for... they also have been terrible this year on defense they also were playing with thier 3rd string QB

As much as my initial reaction to this game was SD blowout, this is EXACTLY the type of zombie team SD loses to for no good reason other than the fact they are the biggest underacheivers in the history of the NFL. It's either going to be 33-3 Chargers or something stupid like 20-17 Bengals.
