Question about quarter lines.

Currently my book has Chi-8. The quarter lines are as follows:
1Q Chi -1/2
2Q Chi -3
3Q Chi -1/2
4Q Chi -1/2

The sum of the 4 quarters total Chi - 4 1/2, which is well below the game line of 8. I rarely play quarter lines but is this pointing towards taking Minny +8 in the game? Or just meaningless?

Two things:

1. Take a look at the juice....are they all -110's?

2. More importantly, -1/2 for a quarter is not your typical half point. It is very easy for quarters to tie, so the half point from a pk em is more significant than any other half points. Even if they put up -2.5 it wouldn't be all different from -1/2 because it's pretty rare to win a quarter by 1 or 2.

In some, don't read too much into adding them up. That's going to be pretty typical.
