Don't over think this one. The Redskins are stupid for benching Mcnabb - end of story. There are a lot of crappy overrated black quarterbacks but Mcnabb is not one of them. Take the Cowboys to get the win at home. Forget Rex Grossman, the Redskins have the worst statistical defense in the league. They are also the oldest team in the league. They are old and slow on defense and can't defend the run well. Phillip Buchannon has also played very poorly at corner, D-Hall takes too many chances and the safety play has been awful without Laundry. The Cowboys have a big strong offensive line and 2 running backs that should gash them for 150+ yards. You don't need some fancy game plan, just run the rock and get the win. Jason Garret will keep his pre-madonna cowgirls focused to beat the hated rivals. Redskins locker room is divided ( they know it's stupid to bench Mcnabb) and the Dallas money line and ATS will both win.

Grossman is good for 3 turnovers by himself. A few weeks back when he stepped in for the 2 minute drive to win it he fumbled it away. Will McNabb be interested in playing when Grossman gets yanked?

I watched 3 Redskins games on tape this weekend. Here's some scouting...

Santana Moss regressed: He had a ball hit him right in the numbers, it bounced up and was picked off by EJ Henderson in the Vikings game. He also had a 1st down hit him right in the #'s in the same game but he dropped it. He's not the elusive break out guy he once was.

Chris Cooley regressed: The guy is at least a step slower than last year. He runs heavy now. He can still be useful etc. but he's never going to make a pro bowl again. Kyle Shannahan actually had him back blocking a lot as the Redskins were using Fred Davis more.

Phillip Buchanan is not a very good corner. Every team that has played the Redskins in the last month has targeted him.
Rockey Mcintosh: is not a very good linebacker. The guy went to the U, but he's been playing bad.

Redskins offense doesn't pass deep enough. That's my guess why Grossman is getting the start. Mcnabb likes to "dink and dunk" it... It was reported that back in Philly Mcnabb was taught to look short, then intermediate then long with his reads. His progression in Washington is supposed to be long, then intermediate and dump offs as a last resort. Even though Mcnabb hasn't been terrible in Washington, I believe THAT is the big disagreement with the OC. It's hard to fault Mcnabb for hitting his RB in the flat for a 5 yard gain, but what if Santana Moss is open down field? Mcnabb has one of the lowest INT rates in NFL history and is "protective" of the ball. Grossman is not, he's not scared to gamble and go downfield. I believe the coaches have probably told Mcnabb over and over again to stop with the dinking and dunking and stretch the defense and he hasn't. That's why they want to play a (less talented) grossman. You know he'll throw the ball down the seam of the defense. With Mcnabb it's not "what you got" out of him, I believe they are angry at what he hasn't done.

Redskins overall have been a mess. I saw Andre Carter go in there and get some nice tackles in one of the recent games. Carter is a good player but he's a 4-3 DE and they've had no use for him. So think about them NOT using two of their best players on defense based on scheme... Haynesworth is a 4-3 DT and Carter is a 4-3 DE. Both good players but useless in this Jim Haslett defense.

Dallas should easily win and cover this game. Jason Garret will have them focused to beat their hated rivals.
