Reasons to take the Chargers Over 49ers

- Chargers have won 4 of 5 home games vs bad opponents by 21 points (I'll include the jaguars in that bunch as they struggled at beginning of the year)
- 49ers have lost 3 of 4 games vs respectable opponents on the road by 18+ points
- 49ers have really struggled slowing down good quarterbacks (they got sliced up by Cassell, brees and rodgers)
- 49ers offense (including alex smith) has really struggled against winning teams
- Alex smith has below a 70 QB rating in 3 out of 4 road games
- chargers defense has absolutely dominated everybody it has faced in recent weeks with the exception of that baffling raiders game



IMO, final score in this one will be very similar to that Denver game, 35-14

SD will flop this year in December. The odds are catching up to them from the last 4 or 5 seasons in which they were red hot in December.
