    Atlanta -6 ... what am I missing?
My first instinct is that this is an easy call, taking Atlanta. Seems too easy. What am I missing?

At a quick glance, the few things that stand out to me are that a game between these two hasn't been decided by more than 6 points since 2000 and that Seattle's taken 4 of the last 5. But who cares? Different teams...

Seattle is 4-2 SU at home and is fighting for a playoff berth. What else am I missing? Is Atlanta -6 the square play? [The prick did take it. ] Atlanta's covered 5 weeks in a row, if I'm not mistaken.

    Thoughts?

I think the line is fine and will possibly be on SEA +6, but think I might can get a better number prior to gametime.

last week Seattle had a tough time with Carolina, possibly the worst team in the NFL. Atlanta has been the most consistent team this year, don't see them letting down with the Saints on their heals and besides Atlanta can win games in loud stadiums. good luck Seattle backers, you'll need it.

Looks to good to be true, but this could be a trap game for Atlanta they have the Saints next Monday night at home

This is why the line is so low:
                Points please...lol
Since the 2000 season, only four of 35 teams have been able to win three consecutive road games.
With a victory over the Seahawks, the Falcons can join the following in pulling off the difficult road trifecta: 2001 and 2005 Jacksonville Jaguars, 2005 Philadelphia Eagles and 2009 New York Giants.
The Falcons have posted back-to-back road victories over Tampa Bay and Carolina, games in their time zone. The next one is different. Atlanta's NFL team normally travels on Saturday, but will leave early to get adjusted to the time change. They will arrive in Seattle at the equivalent of 11 p.m. ET.
"Then we'll get our guys in bed and then have a workout there at the stadium [on Saturday] weather-permitting," Falcons coach Mike Smith said.
Once the schedule was released this past spring, Smith and his staff started planning for the difficult part, which includes this Seattle visit.
Smith, who was on the Jacksonville staff when the Jaguars pulled off the its road-trip hat trick in 2005, said that team made contingency plans based on practice times and travel.
While Smith has reduced the Falcons' practice and meeting time, he's asked his players to sharpen their focus and pay more attention to detail.

Atlanta lines continue to look like traps but they keep covering. Who knows maybe this is the week they don't, but I wouldn't bet against them.

Seattle +7 is a great play. Seattle has one of the best home crowds in the NFL, its a 3000 mile trip for Atlanta, and Seattle is desperate. This is the 3rd straight road game with the big game with the Saints looming next week. Definitely could be a let down spot for the Falcons.

Mariners probably won't even play, let alone win. I'd guess the seahawks will be the ones playing, but who the hell knows....

I think the line is only 6 because this is Atlanta's 3rd straight road game and the Seahawks typically play them pretty close. That being said, the past is the past so I really don't care about trends. Not to mention, these are two teams going in different directions. I mean seriously...SEA just got blown out by San Fran and Alex Smith. That fact cannot be ignored...

The best way to look at it is like this

Seattle in their last home game beat the Panthers 31-14
Falcons in their last road game beat the Panthers 31-10

Common opponent (Panthers), and common setting (Seattle at Home and Atlanta on the Road).

Based on this, it should be close.

2 road games, then a 3rd in a row while traveling to the west coast. Only 4 teams since 2000 have won 3 straight road games.

Falcons are good when @ home.
Seahawks are good when @ home.

Falcons have a weak pass defense, Seahawks are a passing team.
                                                  Falcons traveling across the country.

I have a slight lean on the Seahawks.

Seahawks will get Mike Williams back.....but they still have an O-line that is just terrible. No run game either. Atlanta will win by 10 or more. The Seahawks defense is garbage as well. They struggle to rush the passer and the secondary is pretty bad. Linebackers have been the strength for a few years, but Lofa Tatupu is absolutely horrible this year because he can hardly walk.

Yes, the Seattle crowd is one of the best in the league and the stadium is awesome. Who cares, they don't block and tackle.
