Bankroll management and discipline. I bet over half of my roll on this game and it is actually the second time I have done this, both times I lost! Also when over 80% of the public is on a game, never make it one of your big bets. I still obviously think it was the correct pick but the bet sizing was terrible. Did you guys learn anything else by this loss? OH YEAH , THE NFL IS RIGGED, HAHA JK....kind of.

its called picking your spots. If your on a roll slow down and think it out. If your in a slump go with your gut. This sounds crazy but alot of my winning picks just come into my head. Never phone in a bet right away. let it sit for a little bit. The losing picks I have I can feel them in my gut when I make them. This is tough for most people and I smoke bud so that helps. I'm up 5 units on the year. I don't really have any plays for this weekend other than ATL -7 and a 3 team 6.5 point teaser with Minnesota, ATL, and Green Bay. Can't rush these things.

Yeah, the ML juice wasn't too bad and I should have played that. I didn't see it being close, I had buddies calling and congratulating me at half time and I said stop you're going to jinx it. I was greedy, I lack discipline.

the NFL with these backdoor covers is complete horseshit

that's why I only play moneylines and totals anymore

the way I see it is that the colts are gonna beat the titans in yesterday's game 9 out of 10 times, at -200, that's a fantastic value.

Lot of burials on this game. I can honestly say I stayed away because the world was on Indy.

Hang in there those that got chucked on this one.

stickto ur betting units, dont deviate on ur betting size. In example is, the highest u can bet is 5 unit and ur avg is 3 unit etc etc etc.

Yeah the hardest part for me is staying disciplined with my units and money management. I feel like it is the game of the century about every other week, I have to remind myself that there will be another game tomorrow or next week and stop shipping so much in.

I still don't understand why so many people went so big on this game? My guess is because they saw that Paco thread and everyone just tailed that guy. Hes not a God or anything and it sucks people lost off that. He makes one thread all year in the NFL forum section and every happens to tail it. So stupid...

It wasnt pacos fault haha, over 80% of public was on Indys side, a thread wasn't going to change that. People were going to back Indy either way. The lesson is if you are going bet a team in a similar situation again, next time dont be surprise with a backdoor cover. I learned my lesson last year NE/Mia game, NE sat at -5 all week and I knew I shouldnt have bet it. Not only did I bet it, i lost 4.4k on it, NE went up 14-0 real quick and miami ended up winning.

Lesson for me was when I make a big play the first thing I check is to make sure the public is not with me.

Yeah I already had my play locked in way before I saw that Paco thread. It had nothing to do with my decision. Yeah I will never make a big bet on a huge public favorite again.

You have to pay attention to what the team you are betting against has.

Everyone paid attention on Peyton Manning who is an elite quarter back going against the Titans poor pass defense.

But people forget that Chris Johnson is an Elite running back going against a poor Colts run defense.

Remember when Texans running back Arian Foster went against the Colts poor run defense in Week 1? That was the physical evidence.

The head coach and QB of the Titans also made it to a the super bowl one time in their career, so this team has some strong pieces to still win.
