how the **** are we supposed to know? Just watch the game, we're not behind the scenes

Why does it need to be temporal? If such things occur, they could occur in many ways, e.g. like the Cats did in the 50's, they didn't lose just shaved. Are you asserting that it is impossible to shave points? Check the 48-53 era KY. Wildcats, can't remember exact dates. Basketball but same principle. I do not assert fixes just throwing out that such things are within the realm of the possible.

Every team plays that "prevent" defense when leading by more then 2 scores at the end of the game. All the prevent defense does, is prevent covers for that team. That is why you see a lot of back door covers by underdogs.

why then did the colt's defender push the guy out of bound instead of letting him get both feet down on the play before the touchdown?

and since fisher's job is on the line do you think he would rather cover a spread than try he hardest to win the game?

Just so you know, he did not catch the pass. He lost the ball. His feet being in or out were not an issue, yet.

Believe as you want, I simply responded to a thread that dismissed it as impossible. I have no idea as to fixes.

You have to pretty goddan naive to think that professional sports aren't fixed. Knew it was a trap but walked right into it. The correct play was to kick that fuccing FG and hope to recover the onside kick and some sort of miracle subsequently to give yourself a chance to win the fuccing game. Instead drive all the way down take the last TO and score a senseless TD for a backdoor. I remembered New england and denver game some years back where Billicheck kick FG and this exact situation and recovered the onside kick. Indy could have pulled away with 3 scores easily. the fix was on when this line came out at 1 1/2.

it seems possible when a kicker misses a kick or a ref calling fouls but this situation it would be too hard where everything had to go the right way where manning knew they needed 3 field goals and not score any tds and then the colts defense would have to let the titans score three td to get it to 2 points and still win the game.

and then it would have to be set up that blair white ran a route in front of wayne to "defend" wayne catching the pass. then all the yelling on the side lines by manning was a rouse to thow everyone off when they really wanted to get a fg anyway to give the titans a chance to cover?

is this what you guys are saying?

not all fix attempts are successful, titans didnt cover until the very last play. We're just saying the titans got a lot of help to cover this one

its just silly that you guys think everyone on that field is working for people in vegas.

this will likely be some of those guys only year playing in the nfl and that would be the case in other seasons, so why hasn't any players in recent years blown the whistle on this big operations vegas is pulling over everyone's eyes?

What a joke to call this game fixed. They must have been rigging it real good with a bullshit pass interference call on third down on the opening drive in the end zone and a garbage defensive holding call on the next drive. Face it the line was 2.5 or 3 cause these aren't the colts your used to seeing. I drank the fruit punch at home against Dallas last week, and was in the minority and bet Tenn tonight. The other poster said it best, if it was fixed Nate Washington wouldn't have got thrown out of the end zone on the play before.

This is the most likely non-fixed explanation.

I didn't have any money on the game, but who knows, it's possible that Fisher bet on his own team. It's happened before, and as respected as Fisher is as a football mind (for whatever reason) the moral fiber of his team isn't exactly legendary, and like team, like coach.

Anyone else remember the time his punter ran OOB last year in the preseason for the bills to cover/push?

to say that nothing shady can happen when millions of dollars is being bet is pure stupidity

At what point the fix came in? i would say as soon as the line came out from Vegas was the start of it. everybody knew money will be coming in onto the Colts. as much as you think Manning was throwing pick after pick, injuries, this and that and they are playing the Titans who haven't scored a TD the past 13 quarters before this game, you just can't put any money on Titan +2.5 or even 3. vegas is not stupid to open with this line unless they are sure what they are going to get. they didn't open at PK for a reason because the Colts is not willing to lose. line continued to get bet up.

Colts scored 3 TDs in first half but settled for 3 FGs in the 2nd. Titans scored 1 TD first half but got 3 in the 2nd. don't tell me Manning put a brake on because he didn't usually do. everyone on both team knew what was coming. Colts didn't run a 4-min drill to run out of the clock. Titan only burned 2 timeouts and got the ball back....

a mistake was made for most of the Colts bettors that assuming the Colts are winning this game, they would have to cover the small spread. it turns out that this could still be middled. that's the NFL.
