35-27 Patriots Or something like that. All I want is enough points to push the total OVER!!

pats have given up 24 points or more in 4 straight games. Jets got 28 points the first matchup with no Santonio Holmes playing (sanchez had a 130 QB rating)
they have holmes in this game, so what in the world makes you think that the Jets are only gonna score 17 points?

The last time these 2 played was back in Week 2. Its been 11 weeks for that young Pats D to smarten up and gain experience. Brady and the offense thus far you can say have been carrying that team. Being at home and already seeing this team I think you'll see a different defense tonight from the Pats. There still ranked 31st in overall defense but I'd expect an a lot tougher defense tonight especially since their at home. I do believe the Jets can put up points but as the game progresses I think the Pats D will be able to get off the field on 3rd downs and that will make all the difference in this game and the outcome. Just my 2 cents, we'll find out tonight.

pats defense first 7 games of the season - 22 points per game allowed
last 4 games - 28 points per game allowed/425 yards per game allowed
their defense has actually gotten worse as the season has progressed. Their pass defense especially has been atrocious

I know your looking at stats and I can't disagree with the numbers. But I'm talking about experience to this youth defense. 11 more games 22 or so more practices with a great coaching staff, thats what I'm talking about. I'll ignore the stats and lets see how time has improved this defense in games that matters. I mean even though they've been giving up more points doesn't mean that they've been getting worse.

so they are giving up a ton more points and yards, yet they have improved??
for the love of god, they gave up 58 points to 2 godawful teams in Cleveland and Detroit. Sanchez is gonna pound that azz tonight

no way patriots score more than 24 on this great jets defense especially the conditions both teams are gonna try and establish the run, i like jets in a nailbitter 21-17, brady gets picked off on 3rd and 7 on jets 33 going in for the gam winning score

jets don't have Jim Leonard though...that's a big loss, I see a 3 point game with about 48-58 total points scored

You can look at stats all day but the team with the better stats don't always win. Both teams know how much this game means and if you think Sanchez is going to pound the fuk out the Patriots D then think again. I think the Jets will start of strong and put points early and the Pats will match it. As the game progresses you'll see what I'm talking about and what 11 weeks between each game makes a difference.
Sanchez will be picked atleast once in this game and he won't be scoring 30+ on this defense, especially not at home. With such a terrible defense the Patriots are still 9-2. A lot, and I mean A LOT of the credit should go towards Brady and the offense. But that defense has been improving and maybe the stats haven't but the overall team still have a 9-2 record so there obviously doing something right.
Give me Pats -3 and I'm down for a 50 point bet. Let me know.

How'd the Bears do yesterday? They were going against the terrible Lions, starting a 3rd string QB with a career 45 rating. You said they'd be lucky to score more than 7 points....
Point being, stats mean very little. You have to look at who wants it more, and who has certain advantages. Example- Sanchez has historically been poor in cold weather games, while Brady plays well. Pats have yet to lose to the same team twice in the regular season under Belichick, which shows how well he anticipates another coaches strategies and implements changes on previous gameplans. That all leans Pats. Jets starting safety and play-relay guy is out. That will be a change to the Jets D. It might create a missed call or 2 duee to a miscommunication.

this game is a total coin flip in my view, that's why I'm taking the Jets + 3.5 cause it's gonna come down right to the last second (exactly the same way that the packers/atlanta game went down to the last second). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised by overtime here at all
the jets play much better on the road than they do at home and the patriots play much better at home than they do on the road
offensively, the jets actually get more yards per game but the patriots are much more efficient. The Pats have the superior pass game but the jets have the much better running game
on defense, the jets are vastly and I mean VASTLY superior to the patriots in every way. Better defensive linemen, much better linebackers and secondary
the pats get a big boost though from playing at home.
But that defense has been improving and maybe the stats haven't but the overall team still have a 9-2 record so there obviously doing something right
the only thing that defense is doing right is they get a lot of turnovers. They have a very soft secondary and you can definately run on them with a good offensive line
the reason the pats are 9-2 is cause they score 30+ points per game
put that defense on the Carolina Panthers and the panters would be near winless

Not sure why the Pats running game gets so much criticism.... they are averaging 4.3 YPC (11th best) to the Jets 4.5 (7th best). They have 13 rushing TDs to the Jets 9.

People gear up to stop the jets running game, nobody gives 2 shits about stopping the Patriots running game cause they are all so focused on New England's dynamic passing game. That's why the Pats have a respectable YPC
Jets defense>>>>>>>>>>Pats defense
Jets Run game>>>>>>>pats run game
Jets pass game<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Pats pass game
Homefield advantage is huge
I'm gonna call a 3 point win late in the game. Jets get a late TD by Santonio Holmes and kick a fg to win it

I'm not saying the Pats have better running backs... I'm saying their numbers are very very close to the Jets. Regardless of how teams gameplan against the Pats, the running game still is almost as effective as the Jets is. That's all there is to it. You could have Barry Sanders back there, but if he was only getting 4 YPC, would they still have the better running game?
Jets go up early, down at halftime, and go down 2 scores in the 3rd, when Sanchez will start to fall apart

they are not close though, the jets average 35 yards more per game rushing.
jets running backs consistently face 8 or 9 men in the box, how often do patriot runners have to deal with 8 men in the box?? The jets runners would average 5 yards per carry if they only faced 7 men in the box
defensively, the jets have a massive advantage
Jets rush defense per carry - 3.4
Pats rush D - 4.2
at this point, the jets are the better team in my view. They have the offensive balance to win both high scoring games and the dominant defense to win ugly games. The patriots don't have that. If Tom brady has an off game, the Patriots get whooped every time. You saw what happened in that Cleveland game, Brady was off and the pats lost by 20. They simply don't have the defense to win ugly

I saw the Pats in that Sunday night game at Pittsburgh. When a big game comes around look what Pats did to what is historically a great defense. I saw Brady on the sidelines during that game. That was leadership. I saw how the Pats defense played for most of that game. Yes they gave up late pts while in the "prevent defense" mode but through the bulk of that game they were tough. So when the numbers are crunched and all the stats are compared, to me it comes down to who do you trust more in a "big game"? Sanchez or Brady. Which team is more capable of laying a big egg on MNF? For my money I don't see Tom Brady laying an egg on MNF. I also remember how Jets performed after bye week. They lost 9-0 to Packers. Since both played Thanksgiving this is similar to a bye week.
