This game tonight is a tough one. My brain/gut are battling it out here.
Not sure if I will post anything official on this game as I don't like gambling I like Winning!
But I will provide some analysis and hopefully this can help:
On the line:
Division Game, both teams familiar with each other. Two offensive minded head coaches with Jason Garrett and Andy Reid.
Eagles: Revenge game from 3 losses last year and knocking them out of the playoffs. Also a chance to capture a the Division lead (pending Giants).
Dallas: Nothing to lose, Jason Garrett is looking for a full time position.
Notes:
Dallas has won 3 of last 4 winning @ colts, detroit, @Giants and losing by a FG on Thanksgiving to the Saints. they covered the spread on the last 4 Games.
Eagles have won 4/5 Houston, Giants, Colts, @Washington, losing @Bears. they covered 3/5 games.... (back door cover on the colts game, Lost a shit ton on it)
The Eagles have also had a nice break since playing against Houston.... 9 Days of rest, which is huge this late in the year.
The betting public is correct when moving the money line in PHILADELPHIA games 71.4% of the time over the past 3 seasons. (25-10)
Key Injuries:
Eagles: A. Samuel (Corner)
Cowboys: Romo, Dez Byrant (WR/PR), Barber (RB) (good thing, he sucks)
Notes on injuries: Barber hasn't done anything anyway, and Romo obviously is huge but Kitna is doing ok.
Dez Bryant is key in because of his great field position he gets Dallas in the game to help set up scores. He has been lightning and the best playing on the Dallas lineup.
The numbers: W/ L PF/PA Streaks
Philadelphia Eagles 8 4 .667 344 281 (4-2 Road /2-1 Division) 4-1 Last 5
Dallas Cowboys 4 8 .333 294 336 (1-5 home/ 1-2 Division) 3-2 Last 5
Key Stats and Final Thoughts:
Dallas though a tough team, have played horrible at home. They will find that without their new spark Dez Bryant they will not have the fire power to play with the Eagles. The rest is history. I expect big plays from the Eagles offense capitalizing on a weak Dallas D who have been forcing a few turnovers, but not big stops. Both teams will throw the ball alot but still establish the run game.
I like the Eagles (-5), If the eagles take a early lead, I dont see them making the same mistakes they did with Houston letting them get back in the game.
Leaning with the Under 51, and the Eagles -5.
Dont bet either of these big, because it could end up completely flip flopping (that is if dallas makes it close and can score without bryant... I think its unlikely)
