    YTD:38-21 Chargers -9
San Diego-9 at home coming off a big win vs Houston and having time to rest this past week. Phillip Rivers is having a MVP style year thus far. If the Chargers can establish any type of run game this will be an ugly game for Denver. I like SD defense in this spot. Why fresh off a bye with the Defense getting rest along with some key players healing. If the chargers can play good special teams and not turn the ball over, I like thier chances to cover. Two weeks to prepare vs the Broncos shld suit this Charger team well. They always seem to be clickin at this time of the year. Chargers are an extremly good team at home especially in this primetime position. Phillip Rivers outplays Kyle Orton and this Defense steps up big and gets a few turnovers.Gluck!! Phillip Rivers shows why he should be one of the Favs to win the MVP. Under here if you can get it over 51, tough to score 7 plus touchdowns.

I think this data supports the reason that San Diego is favored, and why they may win. But the bottom line is that 9 points in prime time, against a division opponent, against a team that has underperformed thus far this year...

Good luck to you, but my moneys on Denver tonight, may the best degenerate win!

kyle orton has been playing good ball this year too, i think the broncos keep it close tonight, but still lose. 9 points just seems like too many points

The KC Chiefs are not a squad of scrubs these days, and Denver handed them their asses last week. Now Denver also got their asses whipped by the Raiders, and my point is that they have the potential to show up on any given week.

In addition, Gates is still dealing with an ankle issue (and hasn't scored a TD in his previous 5 games vs. Denver) and the top two receiving options have been out of action for several weeks. Plus the Chargers top running back is out for this game (although he's not exactly worlds better than his backup Tolbert).

I think Denver has a slight chance to win the game outright, and if they don't, I'm feeling good about my nine points.

In the end though, this is NFL football and every damn game is really a coin flip, so who the hell really knows how it will turn out!

I mean, I also saw the 49ers work the hell out of the Broncos and the Niners suck. I have no idea what will happen here. I see the Chargers winning, but 9 is heavy. Id like some action tonight, but I really do not know what I am doing yet. Had a great weekend and will be up no matter what, but I would like a small play tonight to keep it interesting. Which way though arghhhh.

Truthfully, Rivers is worth the hype, and the Broncos pass defense is kinda suspect. I know they have Bailey and B-Dawk, but teams have kinda lit them up on passing this year. So Rivers could kill them in the passing game and that could help open the run up. And at this time of the year when the Chargers always turn it around, I just see them coming out really amped up and beating the crap out of Denver. Denver is a pretender and the Chargers should be a playoff team. That means the Chargers should come out and whoop the Broncos. 9 is stiff, though...

I think both teams come out flat - I think the points is the way to go
