I think you need a new book: a $50 4-team parlay should pay about $614, not $339.77.

The -600 almost drags this to a three-teamer. I like it though. BOL, I'll be rooting for the Jets to pull through; the others I don't think you should have any problem with.

1. You're not going to make much money betting parlays in the long run. The odds are even more in the house's favor with parlays then with straight bets.

2. You're definitely not going to make any money backing large public consensus plays, nevermind combining two of them on one ticket

As Kiln stated: Odds of actually hitting this parlay = 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 5/6 = 5/48 or 1 in 9.6. In the long run, you would need to recieve 9.6 x your original bet for this strategy to break even. By getting $339.77 on $50, you're only @ 6.8:1. Parlays are fun, but that's just it - fun. I usually do a couple of $5/10-12 team parlays before I leave Reno each weekend. BOL, I hope it hits.
