Week 11 - Who the People are Picking
Hey guys,
Like most of you, I use this forum (and a few others) to gather information and insight on NFL matchups each week to try to get some insight on how other people are betting. I also like to browse the "Free Picks" section of a few websites and take notes on each matchup every Sunday. Lately, I've started keeping a "scorecard" of sorts, where I'll make a list of each matchup and put a tally every time a team is selected as a "Free Pick" or someone picks them in a forum posting. This week I got around 20-30 tallies for each game and here's what I came up with:
+7 Raiders (56%)
-7 Steelers (44%)
+6.5 Texans (57%)
-6.5 Jets (43%)
-11.5 Ravens (79%)
+11.5 Panthers (21%)
+7 Redskins (28%)
-7 Titans (72%)
+6.5 Lions (61%)
-6.5 Cowboys (39%)
-3 Packers (72%)
+3 Vikings (28%)
+5 Bills (59%)
-5 Bengals (41%)
+2 Browns (65%)
-2 Jaguars (35%)
+8 Cardinals (25%)
-8 Chiefs (75%)
+11.5 Seahawks (50%)
-11.5 Saints (50%)
-3 Falcons (48%)
+3 Rams (52%)
+3.5 Buccaneers (32%)
-3.5 49ers (68%)

So if you decided to go by what the masses of other people are predicting, I would say go ahead and play the games with the highest percentage of predictions (Ravens, Titans, Packers, Chiefs) and stay away from those closer to the 50% range (Colts, Rams, Saints/Seahawks). I'll be interested to go back and see what the results look like. Enjoy!
