Why you should not bet Eagles vs Giants line.

Guys alot of you are leaning on the eagles and i don't blame you. Giants lost to the cowboys for crying out loud... ok cowboys are a good team personnel wise if they actually play the game it should be played and as a giant fan i wasn't shocked to see giants lose the game because i was expecting it..... Giants going to philly should be an easy philly win right? Not exactly, unlike redskins giants can put up points in a hurry. I really want to say the giants win and upset eagles but to be honest this game is the definition of a toss up. But let me attempt to break some points i see with my giants:


-Steve smith is not playing and the giants struggled without him early in the game, they missed him on 3rd downs and if you saw the game on 2 plays that i remember manningham ran 2 poor curl routes which led to him catching the ball about a yard shy of the 3rd down.... steve smith never makes those mistakes, he is by far the best route runner in the giants offense, and he will be missed...

-O-line is hurt and the backups caused alot of crucial penalties which hurt.

On the bright side if they can stop the run early which they are very capable of doing and if osi and tuck can have a good game i see them slowing the eagles down alot. Cris canty the DT is going to need to have a big game....

I am staying away from the spread but there is one pick i will make for this game and if you guys want to make a very solid bet then go with the score O48.5

make a lot of good points, and as an eagles fan i agree this is gonna be a real close toss up type game. not sure which one, but i see these two teams splitting the season series for sure. However i think after monday nights high scoring offense i think the public will jump all over the over. In that case id wait till right before gametime and take the under. I dont think its going to be too high scoring. also one thing you didnt mention was the eagles coming off a short week.

If the eagles do win this one, they should be fairly heavily favored against the texans. that will be another short week for them cuz thats a thursday night game. might wanna check the texans plus the points then, but now im just getting ahead of myself.

Giants can still run the ball, I am not saying they have a bad o line is bad, the young guys in the o line actually do a pretty good job of blocking for bradshaw, the problem is in pass protection they had quite a few holding calls including a crucial one on a td pass and they gonna jump offside....

Vick sure is the shit, but then why do you see it being a low scoring game if you also believe in vick, I am not leaning on this over because of monday nights game this is because of the giants putting up points. If you have seen the giants offense this season they move the ball very well and the problem has been the turnovers which means if they dont end up scoring the opposing team does because of the turnovers they give away.

Vick is going to destroy Giants D. The only way you can slow the Eagles down right now is by having the secondary to cover the Eagles Receivers for seven or eight seconds, and the Giants don't have that.

Eagles D will get a couple takeaways, and that'll be that.

Giants need to run the ball, kill the clock and keep vick off the field. Could be a shootout with the offensive talent on these teams. I think BOTH these teams are better than the Falcons and Saints and Id say the Packers too despite them playing well with ARod and Clay Mathews.
