Pittsburgh Steelers - Key Stat
The Steelers have 38 wins on Monday Night Football, second best in NFL history. Pittsburgh is also 12-4 playing in prime time games since Mike Tomlin took over coaching duties four years ago and have outscored opponents 115-43 in winning their last five games on Monday night.

Pittsburgh: 5-2 SU, 4-3 ATS
Cincinnati: 2-5, 2-5 ATS

I like the Steelers tonight.

The spread is currently at 6, I don't think it will jump 4 points before game time. I'm on the Steelers as well, thanks for the stats WorkHorse. GL!

I know I shouldn't but I lost big on the fkkn chefs yesterday, so I am going to go against my better knowledge and chase on the Steelers.

Let's go Big Fondler, I mean Big Ben!!

The Steelers' record on Monday Night football is daunting, no doubt about that. But the Steelers were generally off kilter last week. The Steelers' secondary has not been playing well. Bengals' last four games have all been losses by 8 points or less, to decent teams (Browns, Bucs, Falcons, Fins). In their other loss, week 1 at New England, they beat the Pats in the second half, and only lost by 12 despite allowing an interception return and a kick return for touchdowns. I personally think this team is a little better than their record indicates. I like Palmer, and the rest of that offense, to make a minor statement tonight, and I see a close game (if the Steelers don't lay an egg). Bengals +6. BoL.

Some are against the Steelers because they're a public bet-I would argue that PITT squeaked (luckily or whatever) by MIA recently on the road and CINN is nowhere close to that calibre of opposition. Cheers

Too funny. Did you write that all yourself or did one of your buddies help you. Great insight with the non verbal pom pom waiving. You Stiller fans crack me up. Cincy takes care of business.

Think about this. Name one team that the new helmet to helmet rule has affected the most? Stiller’s. Those cheap shot artists made their defensive name on those kind of shots. Now that they think before they react, different secondary ... different defense. Their defense looked very different last week and I think that is one of the main reasons. Old Roger took their cheap shot ability away. Well not really, he just fines the hell out of them and laughs when they cry about it and head off into retirement.

Cincy ...

I guess my hesitation with tonight's game lies in not knowing which Cincy team will show up. Rather than play a side I'm still unsure of, I've decided to play the Pitt team total over 23.5. I see Pitt having no trouble putting up this many points, regardless of how Cincy is playing. If Cincy is playing poorly, Pitt will blow them out, and if Cincy is playing well, Pitt will keep up. Cincy should effectively pass the ball against the Pitt secondary, but might have a bit of trouble with the rush. On the other hand, Pitt should have no trouble getting into the Cincy red zone 5-6 times. I see this game going the opposite of the extremely low-scoring defensive dual we typically see between these two teams (if Cincy decides to show up), and 45-50 points be put up. I say Pitt takes the game 27-24. My play: Pitt over 23.5.

Bottom line here is that Cincy lost to Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Miami - in a row. Steelers beat all of those teams this year, and there is no reason to think that Cincy's defense has stepped it up, just because they had a bye week.

Pittsburgh will definitely score on a defense that has allowed 23, 24, 39, and 22 over that last 4 weeks. Just how many points do you think that the Bengals will score?

13 if they're lucky.

People are reading WAY too much into the home dog, "must win" crap. There are a HOST of teams that have been in the same position every week this season and have gotten it handed to them regardless.

Cincy allows 120 yards rushing per game; that's 23rd in the league. Steelers will run often and well, and follow it up with the play action.

On the other hand, the Steelers allow 58 yards rushing per game; that's 1st in the league. Cincy will be forced into long passing situations most of the night, and we'll see how they "think before they react" this evening against TO and NoShowCinco.

I'll take the team with the lopsided rushing advantage every game, every week.

Take Pitt minus the points.

6 is a lot where favorites through week 8 of the season are only 58.12% winners SU. Just sayin...

Well not really, he just fines the hell out of them and laughs when they cry about it and head off into retirement.

did you see how much the NFL fined Nick Collins today?!? 50k so that should make defensive players think before they react...sad to see the game come down to this though
