Picking a winner straight up is usually easier

if easier you should be able to go 12 for 12 or a least 11-12 i dont think so.

Give the guys that set these lines some credit. I often believe they set false lines when they know it should be a lot larger...using the low line on the Green bay game would be a good example. With Kitna in, the Pack should have been twelve point favorites at least. By keeping the line low some poor suckers thought dallas might keep it close.

Exactly what I was thinking...the books set it up to try to balance so minimum they get the juice. Also they know things that we sometimes do not have access to...or are to lazy to research.

It can be easier, but seldom profitable!

I'm in a pick'em league. I usually get alot of them right but theres always upsets and outcomes that you never expected. This week I went 9-3 but still was only good enough for 2nd.

You could go 12-12 or 11-12 at times. That is possible. But you can't do it every time. There can be upsets. A injury to a QB early in the game can make a easy win a nightmare of a lose.

You can have a weak defense have an amazing game and take your win away.

This is why its gambling. If not it would be just a bank machine.
