Here is my 1st pick for todays games:

                  Dallas Cowboys @ NY Giants

I love the OVER in this game and here's why. These two teams met in Dallas just three weeks ago and recorded a 41-35 Giants win (76 total points). Have there really been enough adjustments made regarding defense to suggest that this game wont go over the posted total? The Cowboys were in Green Bay last time out giving up 45 points whilst the Giants racked up 41 points in Seattle.

Looking into some of the stats.. The OVER is 5-0 in the Cowboys last 5 overall and 6-0 in their last 6 on fieldturf. The OVER is 7-0 in the Giants last 7 games vs an NFC East opponent, and 6-0 OVER in the Giants last 6 games after scoring 30+ points in their previous game.

PICK: Dallas Cowboys @ NY Giants OVER 45.5

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Although Tampa Bay currently hold a 5-3 record on the season so far, they are getting outscored on average by 23.7-19.6
In the Bucs last 4 home games they have been outscored by an average of 11.5 points. 4 of the 5 Tampa Bay wins have come by 3 points or less.

Looking into trends.. Play on a team after failing to cover the spread in 3 of their last 4 games, with a win percentage on the season lower than 25% (Carolina) playing a team with a winning record in the 2nd half of the season. This trend is 36-8 ATS cashing 81.8% over the last 10 seasons.

PICK: Carolina Panthers +7 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

New England Patriots @ Pittsburgh Steelers

The Patriots are #1 in the NFL in points scored at 27.4ppg. Tom Brady is playing as good as ever tallying 1,826 yards passed and 14 TD's so far this season. He has two great recievers in Welker and Hernandez who have notched up 791 yards recieved and 5 TD's combined. The Patriots runing game is also solid with Green Ellis and Woodhead, theres also a possibility Fred Taylor could be back in the mix. Excluding the Pats loss last week to the Browns, their defense hasn't given up more than 20 points in their previous 4 encounters. They face a Pittsburgh team that has been fairly lackluster over their last 3 games although carrying a 2-1 record over that span. The Steelers defense is currently ranked #1 in the NFL. However, they have given up 63 points in their last 3 matches. The Steelers offense also looks stagnant at times. Ben Rothlisberger has thrown 6 TD's and 3 INT's since his return. He seems to be missing the services of traded WR Santonio Holmes.
I don't think we should read into the Browns game from last week too much, I think the Pats will be determined to put that result behind them and get back on track today.
New England's head coach Bill Bellichik will be ready for Pittsburgh's zone blitz, leaving it up to the Steelers currently inconsistent offensive unit.
Looking into some of the stats.. The underdog in this series is 8-2 ATS their last 10 meetings. The Pats are 7-2 ATS their last 9 vs the Steelers while Pittsburgh is 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 as a home favourite.

PICK: New England Patriots +4.5 @ Pittsburgh Steelers
