    San Diego @ Houston
The Chargers (3-5) travel to Houston (4-3) in a key game for both teams. San Diego is coming off a nice win over Tennessee and the Texans are coming off a loss at Indianapolis. San Diego has been a gamblers best friend when going up against the AFC South Division winning money 16 out of 19 times. They are also a perfect 3-0 ATS when playing Houston.

With WR Andre Johnson (39 receptions) probably out for this game with a bad ankle and leading defender LB DeMeco Ryans definitely out with an achilles injury , I'll favor San Diego and their impressive record against AFC South in this one.

    San Diego -2.5

I also like chargers in this one. I remember seeing on espn or nfl network that rivers has the most yards thrown in the history of the nfl in the first 8 weeks.... hes playing good, i didnt like him alot but i think he needs to get more credit for what hes doing with all his recievers banged up or suspended hes getting the ball to the wrs and doing whatever he needs to do, kind of like #18 is doing this year. If their special teams don't **** up again, this could be a blowout and im curious to see if vincent jackson plays

Jackson is out until the end of November. AJ Smith put him on a restricted list that supends him for 3 games.

This is a tough one for me to decide, cause I'm not sure yet if I can trust SD on the road, especially with how their special teams is playing, completely awful. I mean, if this thing goes down to a last minute field goal, I would not be surprised at all if the Texans block it and return it for a TD, lol.

I might end up taking Hou on the ML, just cause it's plus money.

SD will win this game, they r coming to form and Rivers is hot right now. Hou is coming off a short week and if Andre is out then that offence will be limited foe sure.

I've been burned too many times by the Bolts on the road though...

Over may be the play. Rivers might throw for 500 yds against this Texans pass defense.

Ok, kidding, but seriously, the Texans pass defense is so bad, it may make Patrick Crayton and Seyi Ajirotutu look like a prime tandem of Ocho Cinco and Who's Ya Mama out ther on Sunday...

Both teams have key injuries. SD is going to be without their top 3-4 receivers (gates, Floyd, nanee, b Davis) they are starting 2nd string practice squad guys at WR. Look for Sproles to be the workhorse.

SD did a good job of defending CJ last week. Should be able to stop A. Foster especially if A. Johnson sits.

Not sure which way to lean. This game is too close to call.

I'm staying away but GL to all.

With the ball catchers banged up for the Chargers, I don't know who Rivers has to target. Crayton and who else? Just dump offs to the RB's? I have Rivers as my Fantasy QB and hope he can find some yardage. LOL! I will be going with the Texans and the +3 at home.

Many keep repeating the same thing: "I don't know whom Rivers is going to throw to..."

Well, it matters not that the general population of fans are not familiar with the guys who've stepped up so far. They're not household names, but Rivers has had some time to get to know and work them into the offense; they're still professional athletes.

Seyi Ajirotutu and Patrick Crayton are competent players who know how to come back to the ball and catch the it away from their bodies; Richard Goodman has great speed.

More importantly, most assume that since Gates is hurting that he'll be a no-go for Sunday. One should understand, though, that the tearing of his plantar fascia is not that serious functionally, but can be very painful. A tear lends itself to a quicker healing period, while an inflammation of the fascia can lead to a longer and more agonizing pain period. In all likelihood, he'll get a standard shot of marcaine and corticosteroids, and roll out there come game time.

Frank Bush is a straight-vanilla guy, and does not have this unit versed as well as other guys such as Ron Meeks that coach up route recognition and combination coverage while relying on the front four to get to the quarterback; Rivers should have yet another eye-popping game in this spot. The problem is that Mario Williams, although playing well overall, is not applying gawdy pressure when it counts -- and he's not getting any help. Brian Cushing is still guessing at times taking over Ryans, while his license to rush the pasher has been diminished.

I like the Chargers -3 big here, and according to my indeces this might be my largest (and most irresponsible) wager of the season.

Gates is listed as doubtful, and it would be a good idea to keep him out this week with them going into a BYE week next week. Goodman is banged up too, and has been limited at practice this week. They just signed Kelley Washington to help with the thin WR crew. So look for Sproles to be worked big time out of the backfield.

I think San Diego covers this game.

Indeed, it would be a good idea, but don't be surprised if he's "good-to-go" about 20 minutes before kickoff. I think he's going to be hurting tremendously afterwards, but I just can't see him not suiting up for this game.
