Average ATS streaks

Hi

I'm new here so apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.

I remember reading a few years back that the average ATS winning and losing streaks for the NFL was just under 2.8 games and was wondering if anyone was able to confirm this? For the record, I believe a streak was defined as back to back wins/losses ATS.

If it was a few years back it may have been while the Pats were on an insane streak of covers that could have skewed it.
