Washington +3 vs Detroit, Am I missing something??

While Vegas is obviously screaming for WSH money something is up with this one. Stafford making his 2010 NFL season debut, Shaun Hill not available if Stafford goes down. 70+% on WSH yet the line is moving the other way. Whats the RLM stats for the season? Can't remember the last time DET was on the "winning" side of RLM

The Lions are definitly on the rise. They've been competitive in pretty much every game this year for the majority of the game. They aren't the hapless bunch that didn't win a game - they're actually developing quite a lot of VERY talented blue chip young players... Not to mention Calvin Johnson, who is pretty much as elite of a receiver as there is in the game, despite being inexperienced/nor polished.
I'm not shocked by this line at all. The Skins have struggled in every game, more or less. I'm not shocked by this line at all. In fact, it's pretty spot on.

I like the skins here. Oh wow, the lions are getting stafford back lol.. who the **** is he? They'd have a lot better chance with Hill in under center. Someone said the skins pass defense was bad? I'm not gonna look at the numbers but if my memory serves me correctly I remember Romo STRUGGLED, Rodgers STRUGGLED, Cutler REALLY STRUGGLED. They've beaten good teams; eagles, packers, and kept it close with two others; colts and texans. This team gets no credit and is highly underrated.

While they do have the 31st ranked pass D in the league its easy to see why. Playing Manning, Schaub, Romo, Rodgers and even Cutler (in the first 8 weeks) - Those are 6 of the better QB's in the league, well maybe not Cutler. Not like they have had a cake walk when it comes to the offenses they have played.

They're two very equal teams, the Lions are at home... seems like a good line to me. Good enough that I'm staying completely away from this game, anyway.

shaun hill was producing, big numbers, so for this week, i don't see how stafford will be an upgrade over hill.

The Skins wont let Detroit beat them two years in a row. Who cares if Stafford is back? He's beyond overrated and the Redskins are second in the league in turnovers so I like to see them with at least 2 or 3 in this game which will help them win

Nothing is ever as easy as it seems in the NFL... Detroit has a very solid offensive unit, and with Stafford back in a home game they should play well

Detroit has the offense to outscore the Redskins at home. Also don't forget what happened to Redskins the last time they played at a fast surface at Rams dome. They got smoked and trust me Lions are much faster than Rams.

skins win games they are not supposed to win (because they keep it close) but lose the gimmee games. they lost to the lions last year then almost beat the unbeatable saints (kept it close).

The Skins are way too physical for the Lions. I still remember a few years back when Mike Sellers, fresh outta jail, ran the train on them. Lions were literally bouncing off him. That guy who replaced Portis in the lineup could go for 150 today, especially after the way the Giants dominated them on the ground. Donovan McNabb has a higher career QB rating vs. the Lions than any other team. Sure the Skins secondary is weak, but what makes you think Stafford will have time to throw? Jeff Sackus (how do you give a #1 overall QB 42 million and not draft a new left tackle to protect him!?) has gotten Stafford a separated shoulder and Shaun Hill a broken arm.

That being said, the Lions are at home, with Stafford back, coming off a bye, with DeAndre Levy healthy and they signed Bobby Carpenter which means their linebackers will be better. That combined with Suh could improve their rushing defense enough to win.

McNabb will have 2 TDs, one on a deep ball to Santana Moss who will be wide open, a 2nd on a rushing TD late. The running backs will produce another. Detroit will get a score early, shut down midway through the game, and get a meaningless score at the end.
