AFC East is way Over Valued at the moment...
Pats- Wins over Dolphins and Chargers not as impressive as you think..

Ravens- is the defense really that good?? Do you want Flacco leading your team down 4 with 2 minutes to go?

Jets- everyone has doubts about this team, even if they won't admit it..

Dolphins- I like them, but Vegas obviously doesn't...

Jets are the team to beat in the AFC East, they are head and shoulders better than the rest. The Pats are playing nice football and winning games, but still a lot of questions about a young core group of players, especially on defense. Miami hasn't impressed me at all, but they still covered against the Steelers at home last week and I consider the Steelers to be #1 in the NFL at the moment, so who knows? Buffalo has to be the worst team in the NFL, though.

Patriots defense is improving each week but jets are still the team to beat right now.

Looks like the 6 best teams in the NFL are in the AFC.

You could argue that Miami is 7th.

this may seem crazy, but I see three NFC teams being very strong at the end of the year...

Giants - getting better every week..
Saints- They were too good last year, they will figure it out/get healthy..
Packers-The lack of a running game has hurt them, they have the key pieces to contend if they iron some things out..

Steelers, Dolphins, and Colts (if/when they shore up run defense/tackling) are the three best AFC teams..

I think dolphins are overrated. They can't beat the teams in their own division and they havent figured out how to finish games. You shouldnt get credit for ALMOST winning.

                          They have the blueprint..

Umm, I agree that the Dolphins aren't very good, but I think you're way off saying that can't finish games. They finished in Buf, had a GREAT goal line stand in Min, had an overtime win in GB. If not for a bad call, they probably beat Pitt despite the late push. Their weakness is special teams and poor red zone efficiency - they finish games just fine.

We aren't betting futures, we're betting this week's games. Save your speech about end of year for then.

                              Right now:
                              1.Steelers
                              2.Jets
                              3.Pats
                              4.Ravens
                              5.Titans
                              6.Giants
                              7.Colts
                              8.Falcons
                              9.Texans
                              10.Chargers!

AFC definitely looks stronger right now, but a lot of that has to do with injuries to critical guys like Romo & Favre as well as the Saints missing key players and the Packers having the league's longest injury list.

As for teams like Miami, KC, Minny, GB, Seattle, Philly, Wash, Chicago, these are tweener teams right now.

Good point. I remember a couple of times henne had a chance to do something late and didn't do it. Even after the bad call against pitt, he couldnt even get field goal range. I believe in the jet game also had a chance late.
